Fair enough man, heck why not right? But with that being said, when you drive up, the spot might already be occupied by me and my 2009 non hybrid Civic. Because you know what? The real crime, IMO, is all the ignorance and closed mindedness in this world, in sport and on CP... Why does everyone think their opinion is the RIGHT one ...and then will go out of their way to make life a little harder for people around them just to try and make some kind of point... Why? I just don't get the "Me first!"... and "I am right! You are wrong!" attitudes... WTF is up with that??

We went through this at my work. If you don't have a "Tow away zone" sign, apparently you have to warn them first.

But who knows really. Every time we talked to someone at the City about it they gave us a different answer.

If you're actually suggesting someone parking in a Hybrid spot without having a Hybrid is akin to an able bodied person parking in a Handicap space then you're absoltley clueless.

And just an FYI, this is north america, not communist Russia, "me first" attitude is what built this nation bub and those who suceed will always think that way.

Thanks for the geography lesson... or was it a history lesson or hmmm... Who knows... I don't really get why you figure success is embodied in a "Me first" attitude... if that's what you think then you're absolutely clueless. (oh, and a great irrational generalization ther too)

The difference is some places are legal to park, and some are not. When they make it illegal to park in a Hybrid spot, I will follow the laws. I dont park in the stroller lots but at least there is some reasoning to those.

Given that this is Canada, land of socialized medicine, social safety net, etc that "me first", "greed is good", etc. attitudes don't win out all the time.

Massachusetts is the only place that is planning on ticketing and towing cars at this point. So I would ENCOURAGE people with non-hybrids to park in these spaces. Once they see that the honour system is not working, then they will need to go to stronger measures like Mass..

Heh... clearly you did not benefit from the lesson young grasshopper because you continue to compare parking in "Hybrid" spots to people BREAKING THE LAW. What part of the fact that "Handicap" and "Fire Zones" are part of the law do you not get?


I have a hard time believing anyone can be as stupid as you come across in your posts. Maybe you need a little help with basic logic so I will step you through this. Fire Zone = a place legally designated for Fire Trucks. Handicap Parking spaces = legally designated parking for the physical disabled. Taxi Zone = legally designated spot for Taxi cabs, you will be towed if you try and park here. Small Car Only = some mall owners suggestion for parking technique and, like your Hybrid spots, have no basis in law whatsoever.


So to sum up, you continue to make inane comparisons and do not appear to have any understanding of the terms "law" nor "suggestion". Furthermore, you (clearly) feel that people who happen to drive a vehicle with a certain logo on the back deserve my respect and deserve to park their vehicles closer to their objectives then I do. But you know what Blackaces? Unfortunately for you and your fellow Hybrid owners me and the majority of the city (as documented by this thread) disagree with you and do not feel you deserve extra privilege for deciding to drive an oversized electric go-cart.
