I should really just call it green-salad-with-that-corn-salsa-stuff-and-capicola-ham-with-bell-peppers-pizza's because it's the only thing I've ordered since I was 5.

I'd have to say the revamped Calgary Tower (Sky 360). Only because I use to work there and the Chef there now is currently one of the top 3 in Calgary.

Just went there Sunday - it was good, but I wouldn't go there for the food. The prices are too high, but the view is great. It's good for out-of-town relatives, and if you really need to get a date to put out...

I really need to try Kobe Beef some time. Is the difference between it and other cuts of beef that noticeable? Which cuts is it comparable to?

That's pretty debatable. There are some fantastic chefs working in this city and to claim that any of them are "better" than any of the others is utterly subjective. Alain Chabot makes great food, and is certainly in the top-tier of Calgary chefs, but any Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef at one of the better restaurants should be a top-tier chef.

The pizza is top notch thin crust baked right in an authentic pizza oven upstairs by the bar.
Thanks to all this mouth watering banter, I just booked a reservation there tonight for before the game. Sadly the upstairs is booked up, so the main dining room will have to do.
edit: like any good thin crust, not too much cheese. And the capicolli ham pizza is made with provolone so its tough to make it gooey in the first place (a great thing, IMO).

Cilantro's pizza is awesome. Not really a "traditional" style. They do California style better than places I've been to in California.

We are big fans of Greek food, and I am sorry to say that Broken Plate (Willow Park) might have been the worst ever. Maybe it was a one time thing, but I am surprised to see it mentioned in this thread.
My favorites for greek would be #1 Plaka in Shawnessy, #2 Parthenon in Acadia.
Nobody has mentioned breakfast yet... I would like to nominate the Montreal Smoked Meat Omelette at the Belmont Cafe in Marda Loop. Possibly the greatest companion for a hangover I have ever met.

I hear that Parthenon is a great place for Greek. I will have to try it. I do agree about Broken Plate in the South. It lacks any type of quality in comparison to the Kensington location.
What do you think of Pegasus on 14th Street or Ouzo on 4th?
