Dude had 9285 career passing yards in 3 years, 88 Passing TD's and 16 INT's. You don't get all those yards from "high percentage passes"

Hate on.

Look at reality right?
Glad Elway didn't have himself running Denver when he was a rookie and in his first few seasons..

http://www.pro-football-reference.co...E/ElwaJo00.htm

He went 12-2 in his second season but TD/INT was 18/15 comp % 56.3%

But look at Tim's first two seasons

http://www.nfl.com/player/timtebow/497135/careerstats

Nothing fancy but I don't know if Elway had to have 2 whole new coaching staffs in his first two years, or have someone change his throwing motion because it was funny looking.

Elway is just a hypocrite

Had Peyton Manning been available during his 2nd season, who's to say the Broncos wouldn't have gone after him?

Also College Statistics mean something but their value in determining a players value in the pros is very diluted. Just like people who use Tebow's W/L record

Peyton is the better QB right now, no questions asked. I think PIMKing and Mike Vernon are rather frustrated with how the treatment of Tebow had been handled while the results were coming in with him at the helm.

Wherever he ends up, if he wins the starting job he will start. If someone else wins it, they should start. He knows that, us Tebow fans know that too. I'm just hoping he gets that chance to compete somewhere for a job

Yes the Jaguars and other teams could expect to sell tickets and sell Tebow jerseys but there's an ugly side to these Tebowners as well. If Blane Gabbert was to win the starting position out of camp, is he going to have any chance to actually develop into a quality starting QB with the circus that's going to be around? Every bad game, bad drive he has fans are going to be starting the Tebow chants like they did in Denver and it will take on a life of it's own with the media to. For gods sake some of these fans believe Tebow should be starting over Manning. If Miami, Jax or Cleveland panic and bring in Tebow, besides that inital honeymoon period, I see his presence doing far more bad then good.
Tebowners? Grow up dude.

The latest stats I used were from the NFL not College. Elway wasn't great his first two years but he went 12-2 his second season.

The results were coming in with him at the helm, but ones that statistics show us an average QB in the NFL could have easily duplicated.

And please, yes there are some intelligent and football savvy Tebow fans but there's a whole ton of crazy ones that have come out in numbers during this entire thing. Their the ones on twitter, calling into Broncos sprorts radio acting like idiots. There's a large group of Tebow fans who are bat s#it crazy.

I was addressing his college stats that have been used in this thread to talk up his value on here.

Elway wasn't great his first two seasons....had Peyton Manning been a free agent during that, who's to say the Broncos wouldn't have gone after him. The NFL has never really had a free agent like Peyton Manning before. Not sure how in the world going after him makes him a hypocrite because of his playing career.

I honestly can care less what Tim does or doesn't do in the pro's. I just get tired of people hating or just being plain disrespectful towards a guy who hasn't done anything wrong. I don't get how so many people can just flat out hate the guy. I'm not religious at all and I admit that his religious thing is a bit annoying but I rather have a child look up to him over Rapelesberger.

It's amazing that someone commands respect and has more respect from his peers when he was on trial for murder and Tim gets lit up daily.

I can agree with that. You followed him from college, a lot of success from the guy and it's hard not to like the personality. I don't hate the guy. I believe his intangibles are horribly overrated, as they are in most sports, but he's a good person. I have nothing against the guy. I believe that most people just don't believe he's a good quarterback and horribly overratd by a a certain amount of NFL fans. There are people who I will never understand who take on a personal hate for the guy, when everything is out of his control in terms of the coverage he gets and how some fans respond to his play. I have nothing against Tim Tebow the person. I have something against some of his more radical fans and I just don't think he is or is going to be a good NFL QB.

This. He is one of the greatest role models in all of sports. He is humble, sincere and loves people.

This is the number one reason he is my favorite athlete. At 1:40 or so he talks about how the highlight of his day wasmeeting a little girl, not beating the steelers in the playoffs.

You can view it like that if you want. He makes most people puke.

Rumor according to NFL Network is that Denver is going to make an offer on restricted free agent WR Mike Wallace of the Steelers. Denver has more cap space then the Steelers and if they front load a deal it will be hard for Pittsburgh to match. Compensation would be a 1st round pick but Denver picks at 25 so it is worth it IMO.

Peyton Manning is clearly a better role model then Tebow, especially with children. Just another thing he's better at then Tebow

With nothing around him. The guy won. Period.

He had everything that Tebow has plus an arm and flawless mechanics.

I'd love to get Wallace. Thomas, Decker and Wallace is a great young receiving group, especially with Manning throwing the ball. That along with a solid, very young o-line, Mcgahee and hopefully a healthy Moreno running the ball, and possibly Clark at TE the offence will be dynamic

The D was great last year and we can add to it at the draft, and Prater proved he's a top kicker

The Broncos are a top team
