Trying to write off peoples takes as being "hindsight" and then saying fans were just impatient, and that you could look back at the 1995 draft thread and see the same thing is 100% a strawman.

I'm sure some thought that.
But many people were saying to maximize the return you'd ship him out with 2 years of 50a% retention.
And those people were correct - 2 years of Andersson at under $2.5M would have garnered the biggest return.
