Default Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2016 - Round 17
It's baaaaaaaaaaaaaack. almost like Shark Week on the Discovery Channel Calgarypuck and the Summer Prospect Ranking has become an institution for rabid Calgary hockey fans.

2013 - Sean Monahan is the top prospect (2013)

2014 - Johnny Gaudreau takes his turn (2014)

2015 - Sam Bennett come on down! (2015)

The last three years have had a prospect named first, and then make an impact right away on the NHL team. Bennett had to have surgery and mop up the OHL first, but all three were big players for the Flames right away.

Will that be the case again this year?

As per usual the vote is up to you. Some see it as most likely to play, some see it as highest ceiling, others see it as a mix of both.

Pollock again. Close between him and Culkin though. Still have hopes for Culkin ... all about staying healthy for him. He actually seemed to be ahead of Kulak in his development before the freak injury.

After almost a week of voting Fox, I get to vote for someone new! I am going with Pollock. Dube, Hathaway and Tuulola were also considered.

Me exactly.

I like the 2nd rounders before I get into projecting the later round guys that are showing early promise.

Culkin was on pace to be one of our best defensive prospects until his injury. Have to respect his play in the AHL so I went with him

I voted for Dube, but that was after rather carelessly missing Pollock on the list. I think I would have voted for him instead.

Holy god. I think Tuulola will lose this one, he'll lose to Dube, and he may even lose to Hathaway after that.

I wonder if he'll drop out of the Top 20.

Have to say it is more in sync with my rankings than CP

In particular, Andersson and Parsons higher up....Jankowski and Hickey a little lower down

Tuulola was a stand out at the camp and fills a big need. If he progresses he should be one of the seemingly rare power forwards. The other prospects at this stage don't have that potential.
