It was on the second floor by the food court. On the eastern side if I recall.

I seem to recall that Sex with Sue was on the community cable tv channel also. I'm not sure if it was Shaw or Calgary Cable back then. There was also the nude photography show which surprised me the first time I saw it.

There was a sexy time show around midnight on Access back in the day too.

I don't know the "old" zoo was nasty. The polar bear enclosure was out and out disgusting. Also the prehistoric park always sucked.

Ah yes....I can't recall the name of that show.

I do remember watching the Sex with Sue show on TV and being, well very very disappointed when I saw her.

I saw many a good punk rock show there. The bathrooms in that place made you want to take a leak outside for sanitary reasons.

The bathrooms at the Night Gallery were dubbed the worst in Canada by some national magazine or other.

Shout out to the original Republic - the one up the stairs on I think 12th ave. Also, the Brass Ring - a cougar bar before the term was even coined.

IIRC there wasnt a bathroom, just a short hallway to the right of the stage with two or three tiny stalls and basically the whole place could see you taking a piss. I was only there once with that setup and then they added actual bathrooms behind the bar.

"Wrinkles". So many sleazy, funny, weird, drunken times were had there. Who knew 30-50 year old receptionists and file clerks could be so insane? The place looked like an office from the outside, with its brick facade and tinted windows. But open the door and it was like a portal into New Years's Eve at a Club Med in 1978 where the guests were all women and the only men available were the employees. You could get chlamydia just from borrowing someone's lighter.

.
They've upgraded the Dinosaur park again with a bunch of animated dinosaurs - my daughter loves it.
The old zoo was terrible. The Polar Bear enclosure wasn't even the worst. When I was a kid, when you came across the bridge and turned right, there was a long row of small barred cages that housed everything from Cougars, Bears, Wolves, etc. Even the Lions had a spot along there, albeit a bigger enclosure.
Just awful. But a different time.

For all the Calgary pilots /aviation enthusiasts.

-The powder blue & white control tower at YYC.
-The Lancaster pedestaled at the SW corner of the field adjacent to McKnight Blvd. Fortunately it has been dutifully put under cover at the museum.

I threw up in one of those semi-private stalls before a Wesley Willis concert and was correctly asked to leave.

This reminds me that now I'll never get to see him.
