He’s nowhere near as impactful as he was 5 years ago. His stats are still PPG or thereabouts. But he’s not as effective over 200 feet, and he just isn’t as clutch.
I don’t think he matches up against the big name centres in the league any more.
Elite talent makes a huge difference. Mackinnon and Makar are unbelievable, I wish we could get a player like that.

Rantanen is elite. 617 points in 570 games and he's produced when MacKinnon has been out of the lineup. The Jets forward group going into the playoffs looked really deep but as has been mentioned many times it's very similar to the Flames a few seasons ago where they were pretty deep but lacked the elite gamebreaker. Like I said early in this series, this was just a bad draw for the Jets due to a flawed playoff format. It's clear they wouldn't likely get further than the 2nd round but they deserved a more favorable first round matchup.
It's crazy how dominating the Avs were offensively at 5v5 and on the PP. Don't think I've ever seeen a team seemingly get into the slot with such ease as that chart indicates.

Goals against is a bit of a concern for the Avs. I think they have the most GA per game of any team that’s moving on. Georgiev has the worst GSA for goalies that are on teams going on.

Georgiev was actually outstanding in 4 straight games after a terrible game 1. The Avs are probably the most talented skater group in the west, and by a long shot. I'd love to see an Avs Canes cup final. Because #### the rangers and oilers.
