Watched the replay on GLC as I didn't watch it live . came to check out CP and said nevermind after the first page. Calgary loss = Cp complete meltdown. Expectations are just too ####ing high this year.
You wanted more youth last year and you got it this year. This is what a younger team looks like.

This forum is filled with people who hate too soon and love too soon, just give this team a damn chance. It hasn't even been 25% into the season, no reason to be making early speculations. Let's allow the season to play itself out and unfold on its own.
The third goal goes in on any goalie however I would expect an elite D man like Brodie to not allow Ekblad to walk in for the easiest one timer of his season.
Not to nitpick too much but the third goal is all on Hudler imo. Can someone explain to me what he thought he was doing standing still and waiving his stick as Ekblad goes by? He is expecting Brodie to do it all. Usually Brodie does the almost impossible and covers these gaffs, but that was an embarrissing effort by Hudler.

The D has been bad, but soft goals are soft goals. That's the part tht really irks me. Every game one or 2 softies go in.
3-3 tie with 10 minutes left and Ramo lets that in? Yes bad play by Brodie, but its not like it was a bang bang play to the back of the net. I have center ice and watch a lot of hockey. Lots of D men cough up the puck up behind the net, but unless its a bang bang play, the goalies normally help cover up the D's mistake. Flames are not getting that this year.
Can't say i am a fan of either veteran goalie the flames have. I thought last year that Ramo looked like a 1b/ back-up goalie. Lots of posters saying there was untapped potential in Ramo. I'm starting to think last year might have been a career year for Ramo and he is not even worth a back-up spot. Trust me Hiller was not looking any better before his injury. The only reason i would give Hiller a back-up spot in the NHL, is that he is a veteran that has done it before.
I really don't want to see either goalie in the flames system next year.
Hey CP, why does everyone feel it's a given that the Flames should get points off the Panthers? They were pretty near each other in the standings last year and this year's Panthers team is built much more solidly from top to bottom and getting excellent goaltending from Luongo.
With the way the Flames have played so far, there should be zero guaranteed points against any team. Maybe that's the problem. They didn't take the Panthers seriously enough.

Yeah, I don't understand it either. Florida was strong to start the season, but after Barkov got injured, they've been without a #1 center and you could see it very well.. So I had hopes Flames could pinch the 2 points out of this, I was wrong.
Wow....so much hate for our blue liners. They weren't great. But Ramo continues to be gut wrenchingly brutal.
First goal from a bad angle ends up in a rebound into the slot. He slides too much out of position. 2nd goal bouncing around but he doesn't have a chance because he is on his butt.
At least one goal per game that he should have. Usually early. Then the defense starts running around.
This team goes no where this year with these goalies.

When you go into a barn with 10 fans in the stands you get a feeling like you can win one on the road. We scored enough on 7ou to win.

Panthers are as bad as oilers when it comes to tanking and sucking. So, yes a win was expected.
