I pay for 200Mbps internet, and consistently get speeds of up to 220 to 240Mbps, sometimes more. Shh don't tell my ISP.
I have the same problems on my PS4 GCL (wired connection) that you do though.
Watching on my PC is ok - it doesn't skip or anything, but it's not HD. At least on the ps4 it's HD, although it cuts out more frequently than not.
Generally not happy with GCL - hopefully this new NHL.tv stuff helps.

GCL worked perfectly for me, either casting from my iPad mini or android phone. I was on monthly subscription for GCL ($29.99/mo) but cancelled today so I can purchase NHL.tv for the rest of the season (great price of $49.99)
Crossing my fingers that it works well. Read some complaints on reddit that some archived games are missing.
Edit, oops getting the redirect to GCL still. I was on a US proxy before. Sigh....

I'm a little concered that as of right now, I cannot get into Gamecenter, or the new NHL.tv. NHL.com also seems down or at least very slow right now as well. This doesn't bode well for watching games tonight.

This update is very poorly planned. The games are either not playing, playing poorly, or jumping around. Whoever approved this in the middle of the season should be fired.

The new Rogers game center or whatever it is called is brutal, absolutely brutal. It woked like crap on my PC last night. Couldn't skip forwards or backwards, just took me to the same chunk of video every time. Any button push or mouse movement meant 30 seconds of a spinning wheel with no video. And it plan old looks like crap, video quality was ok but the buttons, time line and menus were awful.
Whomever designed that should feel shame, lots and lots of shame.

Sorry for the bump but I need some advice.
I purchased NHL Gamecentre 2 days ago, got the email for re-activating "my Rogers" account which has GCL attached to it. I got my e-receipt for the purchase as well.
I go to log in at NHL.tv, my log in works fine and then I go to view a game and i get re-directed to another Rogers log-in for GCL and this time it won't recognize my account log in or PW. So I go back to Rogers site, log in to my account with no problems, then reset my PW, confirm my GCL is active in my account and try to log in to watch hockey through NHL.tv and the same thing happens over and over..
1) does anyone have this issue and if so, did they solve it?
2) would it be wise to cancel my order and go with NHL Center ice?
I am on shaw portal so I think I have the equipment for CI, but I live on Vancouver island. Will that hurt my viewing capabilities?
Please help, I'm so frustrated with this crap and just want to watch hockey..

NHL.TV and Rogers are different from what I've been able to tell. To watch GCL, I either use the NHL app (there's a Rogers specific one) to cast to a Chromecast, or login to https://www.nhl.com/login/rogers which is for GCL users. I think NHL.TV services the US market.

This is the third year in a row I've gotten Game Center through Rogers and each year now the login, interface and user ability is such counter intuitive garbage. I fully expect I'll have to reset my password 3-4 throughout the year.

Would you ever risk using a proxy app and trying to use the standard nhl.tv or american GCL?

I had Game Centre last year and I honestly found it to be a piss poor service. Half the time the feed stop for 10 seconds and then catch up to itself. Giordano to Brodie *10 seconds later* GOAL. It was super annoying and I will never pay for it again. When I used a vpn the year before and had the US version it was flawless.

A quick search on Reddit reveals the NHL has been threatening to suspend accounts that use a VPN since about 2013. Has anybody ever heard of this actually being enforced?

Coincidently I get an email an hour ago saying my subscription is now active and gave me instructions on how to access GCL...
2 days later and I don't know how many swear words, password resets, attempts on different devices, and eventually an inquiry into cancelling my subscription..
Stupid.
