I activated 1 of my accounts recently. I've played since release. I usually get bored and stop playing but every expansion seems to reel me back in.
I like to start a new character and level up when I re-activate my accounts. Usually so many changes when I come back. Like now the talent trees are so different. Not as much talent points.
Some pretty neat changes. The new LFG system that is cross server is pretty awesome. Leveling is so nice and easy now. Mount at level 20. Epic ground at 40. Flying mount at 60. Flying mount is now 100% on ground and 150% in air, which is real nice. The new Thousand Needles was really fun and good XP and gear. The blizzard standard UI is pretty nice. I haven't felt a need to download a new UI, likely will have to once my character is raid worthy.
Some of the chain quests don't require you to go back to the original quest giver. For example, a quest whre you have to kill say "lioness tigers" then the next quest you have to kill the male tigers and then the 3rd quest you have to kill the named tiger or whatever. Once you completed the first one it pops up completed and you just click a link and the questgiver gives you the next quest so you don't have to go back. Nice to save time. That just seems to happen in the old world and not in Burning Crusade.
Leveling is ridiculously easy. I've played my new character since November 11th, and i'm already level 65.
So I brought my account back up and patched and what not, and blue screened my comp twice playing lol..
I log in, it runs fine, then about 20-30 seconds in the entire screen glitches and it crashes to blue screen, I am guessing that my vid card is toast because my comp runs fine any other time..
But what is also weird is that it will run Counter Strike or Day of Defeat fine.. maybe it is an over heating problem?
Computer is getting old, I think its about 3 1/2 years old now.. specs:
I have a back up drive with XP on it, maybe I should try running it on there and see what happens..

Tough to say, I don't know my /played time. I do however waste alot of time with repeated AFK breaks (mostly wife needs something or doobie breaks). I also spend a fair amount of chatting with friends online. I used to play Everquest with quite a few people that still play WoW. They're spread out all over the states so I chat a fair amount. So I waste alot of time.
Once I hit 60 leveling slowed down quite a bit. About 2 - 2.5 hours per level of straight playing at a guess. Another thing that helps with the leveling is spells don't have ranks anymore. They scale with your level. Like for a Warlock, shadow bolt is shadow bolt, you don't need rank 2, 3, 4, etc. So you don't have to run back to Org/UC to get new spells every few levels. I rarely to the main cities unless I need a new spell thats a must have. Under level 60 the levels go really fast. I was getting at least 3 levels a night once I hit my 20's and 30's up to level 60.

I fiddled around with my drivers and turning the graphics down a bit and am able to make it stable, if a bit laggy.
But it is playable, looking forward to making a Goblin something tomorrow

We have a few Calgary and Lethbridge guys that are going to be playing on the Arathor server if anyone is starting a new toon and wants a new server come on over.
about to head out to the 24hr walmart in an hour- apparently they're always quiet during expansion releases. this is my first midnight launch and ive been playing wow for years now so i figure id embrace my inner nerd and finally go to one
just got back from walmart- was relatively painless as there was only about 7 people there. highlight of the trip: this old east indian lady was in a rage because the person in front of her got the last collectors edition
I woke up early at 2:30am and played for a couple hours before work. I turned in the 25 Quests I had completed waiting to turn in and Maxed out Mining and I am 65% into Level 80. Not bad for not killing anything. Going to start questing after work.
