Didn't he say just a month or so ago he wanted to sign long term in Calgary? I think it was maybe shortly after playoffs ended. I wonder what changed so much between then and now. I'm guessing Johnny leaving must have been a factor.

Tkachuk literally just said a couple of month's ago that he would "absolutely" sign long-term and that he's "loved it here"

I just upgraded my seasons expecting a much better off-season. This season is going to suck. They end up selling their tickets for below STH costs at times too with their specials, which is absolute bull####.

Flames owners are saving money.

If they can get hitmen level attendance 2-4 days a week, it will keep the staff paid and revenue sharing will prevent edwards and co from any real loses financially.

I said it last week, get ready for young guns 2.0 - the only losers are your loyal season ticket holders who are forced to pay full price for a sub par product.

Just hope Gary gifts us Bedard, suck for two years and hope the damage isn’t long term. But then again we are The Calgary Flaming Sabers after all.

Team will suck to watch for a couple seasons, but honestly fine with both this and JG. The team played out of its mind last year, with career years for many players and still got pumped in round 2.

This core was never going to get it done and I’m glad this has forced a rebuild rather then middling along for another decade
