I understand they've been prepping the room since early this morning and they're almost 90% finished.

It was at 80% on monday. Why is it so bloody slow? It shouldn't take this long to teach someone CPR.

Didn't see any CPR in use.

I found an 800 number that has something to do with CPR. Sort of.

Some person who picked up on the other side when I dialed that 800 number sounded like they had shortness of breath.
Maybe they're in need of CPR

CPR doesnt miraculously bring people back to life.....all it does is provide a minimal oxygenation level in the body until a defibrilator can be used.....

It works in the movies.
And in real life, provided you're in the right situation, and its done the right way.
I took EMR training last year, but ended up moving before I could do the ACP. Very interesting course, and well worth taking. But, unless you're actually going to work as a first responder, the actual course won't help you much outside of making you more knowledgeable in certain aspects of first response. Problem is, its impossible to keep up if you're not a working first responder because you're not using the training every day, and most EMS crews go through classes every year to refresh or learn some new stuff, or advance another level.

Is it every three years you are supposed to take first aid again? I don't think that's enough. I have never had to use first aid or CPR and I know that I've forgotten most of what they teach you. You're right, I think you have to use it, or you lose it.
