Has anyone ever had to perform it? Have you seen it work in real life? Just curious. I have heard that it doesn't work all that often, and I wanted to know if anyone had any practical experience.
Further to that I suppose, are you trained in CPR or basic first aid? Did you get that on your own, or did your work get that for you?
Edit - I can't get the title to stay all caps locked.

I once sat behind someone who choked on a green tea frappacino, and ended up going to the hospital for a couple of days because cpr trained people were completely absent.
As a result, I have banned green tea frappacino's from my life.

Is it weird my first thought was to check twitter? I don't even like twitter that much, but I get such interesting answers and (occasionally) varied opinions there. It's not like other sites where the answers seem 4 days old.

Absolutely. Good way to send out info to a group of people when other forms of communication are down.

Fun Fact: The Canadian Government used the recently completed CPR to ship troops out west during the North-West Rebellion.

It's not a rebellion anymore. They were actually heroes and Loie Riel was a divinely chosen prophet.

I took a CPR and first aid course, I certainly learned a lot. Hung out with the people from the course a few times.
It was great... except I learned nothing about CPR or first aid.

Can you teach me how to put someone in the recovery position if I suspect they're going to vomit?

Stand them up, move them to a position where they are within arms length of a person you dislike. Turn them to face the person you do not like. Give him a slap on the back and watch everything else turn out.

Keepin' it Riel?
In the pool I'm in there's a board to discuss trades, as we make trades at the all-star break. I've got more man games played than anyone, but am 10th out of 12 places.
fffffffffffffuuuuuuuu.

I used to know CPR when I was around 12 as I took a course. Then drugs squooshed that right out of my mind.
Remember kids, don't do drugs! Otherwise you'll end up like jammies, unable to resuscitate victims of cardiac arrest when required. Although otherwise world-class.

Works better if you use the heimlich instead, then instead of getting a weak flow of vomit, its like hitting someone in the face with a this mornings breakfast shotgun.
I was always told that the recovery position was to roll a person on their side and elevate their head.
I used to have my first aid, but I would always break the dummies ribs when I was doing it.

I remember a twitter meltdown once. A guy went off on an innocent bystander.
It was funny, but it was shut down pretty quickly.
I haven't tried it since. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Oh, and look how wimpy Paris' downtown is.
