Just got mine delivered.

The controller is noticeably smaller then the XBox 360 in my opinion (or might just be used to the large DS4 now).

Not at home so can't do a direct comparison but the smaller controller is not as comfortable as the 360 controller IMO.

I'll be honest as soon as was reading about how you can ask the Xbox one to search for movies or tv shows by voice I was happy because that searching on, for example, Netflix one letter at a time stuff sucks. Voice control is a big step forward especially if the bugs are addressed.

Personally I will default to the Xbox controller every time if given the choice. Unless there is a vast difference between game experiences I default to that. I just find it a more comfortable controller for me and a key part to the game experience. Have to see how the new ones feel and compare but I suspect I will maintain my preference for the xbox controller. For games to be honest I really couldn't care less about 720p vs 900p vs 1080p at least for my set up. There just isn't a noticeable difference if you aren't directly comparing it side by side. And I think most people if you had in one house a 720p setup and the same setup but at 1080p wouldn't really notice a difference either. But it doesn;t really matter....to me a good game is a good game and really gorgeous bad game is still not a game worth playing. And in the end both consoles are more than likely going to deliver 1080p as we go forward anyways and not beyond so I fail to see differences in launch game as any major issue.

Now I may come off as a fanboy but want to remind people I had both a PS2 and Xbox, PS3 and 360 and at some point will likely have both of these consoles. But I am leaning Xbox one because it fits our life better while still allowing me to be a "serious gamer" (when i have tome to play games).
I agree that the Xbox controller is superior. It goes great with my MASTER RACE PC gaming machine and Steam big picture machine.

I was able to place an order through the Futureshop mobile app

Got a confirmation, but we'll see if it actually ships.

And call of duty is the same as usual..already feel sick of if after three multilayer matches.

I AM DISAPPOINT!

Me too, actually might not get into it until Sunday.

Hockey tickets tonight (please don't put me to sleep like Wednesday), and then tied myself up to brunch and the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market tomorrow.

Have to say between PS4 & XBox One Launches, Super Mario 3D World, and Tearaway this is probably the most congested 2 weeks ever for a gamer. I could honestly take a whole week off to just play these new games and still wouldn't have enough time to play them all.

Will likely just wait until Christmas for Super Mario and Tearaway for that reason (Edit: If I can resist and I am a terrible impulse buyer)

Looks like IGN is seeing some of the same Xbone "disk eating issues" that are being shared around the internet (via youtube, amazon reviews, twitter @xboxsupport). Damn scary sound though!

Similar to the PS4, they're likely to be a small percentage of consoles in the grand scheme of things. Good luck to new owners on CP!

http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/11/2...dware-problems

One of IGN's office machines suffers from the same disc drive problem many have reported. When a disc is inserted, the Xbox One makes a grinding noise, but the disc is unaffected. However, Xbox One won't read any game discs. "Sorry, we can't play the disc," a notification says. "Try an Xbox One game, a music CD, or a movie on Blu-ray or DVD."

Microsoft to launch new version of Xbox One in 1Q14

While Microsoft will launch the Xbox One on November 22, it is preparing to introduce a new version of the Xbox One in the first quarter of 2014, according to Taiwan-based supply chain makers who say they have been asked to begin shipments of the new model in that quarter.

It must just be a minor tweak or something, nothing noticeable.

Otherwise I really don't see that going over very well with everyone picking it up in the next month or two.

Xbone is in stock here at my target..

So the fiance gets 10% off employee discount, another 5% red card, and then we have a few pharmacy rewards cards we can use which is another 5% off.

so a $499 machine would end up costing me

$411.47 before tax

$37.04 tax

grand total

$448.51

I wish I had the cash..

A PS4

$399
- 10%
-----------
$362.73
- 5%
------------
$345.46
- 5%
-------------
$329.01
+ 9% tax
$29.61
-------------
Total for new PS4
$358.62

Xbone sold 1 million worldwide in 24 hours! (Kinda expected with them releasing in 13 countries today - 75,000 per country at least). Sony will probably have their own numbers once they push out beyond just North America next week. Then Microsoft will try to one up them as again.

Console market looking good and healthy!
