I could see him being somewhere in the stratosphere of a Hedman- one who produces at nearly a ppg clip, with a solid puck-moving, two-way game.

Verhoeff’s D-minus-1 year in the CHL was historic as far as point production, and his season-to-date in the NCAA (points per game-wise) is one of the best for a D-man of his age group in the last 35 years.

Yeah but… realistically are many teams beating that offer by much? Especially without retention. Toronto sure ain’t.

Probably another team and if not then not sure now would be the time to move Kadri. A 1st is definitely a requirement.

I gotta agree with Vinny, a first should be a part of the package.

Pietrangelo would be a better comparison.

If we are trading with Florida we should be looking for sawchyn as an add on.

This guy seems pretty adament that Potter is a winger
He has some pretty hot takes he's adamant about. Flames seem pretty happy calling Potter a center so who to believe?

It was a weird clip to try and make that point. But it's not like no centre ever has one in from the side with speed. It's McDavid's whole game and MacKinnon likes to do it too.

Todd Marchant played over 1000 games as a small fast center.

It's definitely hard for a smaller center, especially if they aren't all that physical.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. You should try to lean into the center position for development, but he'll let them know what he is by how he does. Most of the time centers can adapt to the wing and when you look at a lot of team's top 6, especially good ones, they often have more players listed as centers than just two.

I think some people still just have PTSD from the Bennett situation where he couldn't (or I would argue, wouldn't) adapt to the wing.
