Only good can come from this entertainment wise I believe. I want an angry Jack - a Jack that will rip up a lamp and zap the chest of the guy who used to be married to his new girlfriend to get the answers he needs.
TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO KNOW!!!

I'm actually really disappointed with this season, I've seen every episode of every season and I love the show. But, I find myself wishing this season would just end already. A lot of things seem predictable, the story line is bordering on absurd, (them putting Chloe in charge of CTU in the middle of a crisis? come on, A presidents wife taking over a country in fifteen minutes, brutal). I'm as big a fan as anyone but the show has definitely run it's course.

Chole is in charge now, but the crises is essentially over from a tactical standpoint. Found the bomb. Check. Hassan dead/alive. Check. A new plot is emerging with the Russians, but at the time it was a simple dismissal of a manager for not using his resources correctly, or being an adequate judge of character....sounds like other managers we might know that should have the same fate.
With that said, I'm disappointed that Jack can never seem to have someone in his life that he cares about without them dying. For better or worse, the ante just got upped, and I'm thinking Jack is probably going to take out the entire KGB single handed.

As far as we know Tony is not dead. Pretty sure he took a couple of non lethal shots to the leg. My guess is he is serving a prison sentence.

Tony escaped last year after he killed Larry Moss.
As a watcher of all 8 seasons I enjoy some of the little stuff every episode.
Its in every episode, for example:
Two episodes ago when Walsh tells Jack she asked for him because he's the only one around with his head not up his ass, and Jack's nod of agreement.
Last episode, when Jack is giving it to Walker...one of his first responses is "I'm so thirsty, I need a drink"...hilarious...he's been in hundreds of car chases, tortured 10+ times, spent 2 years in China, chased cars and terrorists on foot for blocks, and not once needed or requested a drink. 20 minutes of boinking and he's dying of thirst.
With them cancelling, not surprise Walker was killed off (otherwise I could've seen her continuing as being the female Jack) so we see angry/loner/sprial of despair Jack after his wife was killed, Audrey kidnapped etc etc.
So who else makes an appearance in the last 5 hours? Tony? Nina? Jack as the new head of CTU (Season 2 or 3)? Aaron back? Audrey back?
Who else dies? Logan I can see. Chole and Jack will be the last two standing/interacting in the last episode ala Cheers with Carla and Sam before Jack takes the series out on his own, in some variation.
The final clock ticking...does it go over 24:00 and not quite reach 24:00?

I liked the way season 4 ended where he faked his death, and just walked away down the train tracks. I hope the series ends that way, him just walking away to his car or something.
I also think Logan is going to die this season.
I should re-watched seasons 1-5, I have them on dvd, they were so much better than the last few seasons (6 and 7).

I love the season so far! I don't think Jack is going to die though because I heard 24 is making a movie after this season. Should be interesting to see what happens now.

I totally thought Logan died a season or two ago when his wife decided to slice his jugular.

This is getting ridiculous now. 6 more hours left of this insanity. I hope Logan gets a bullet in the head by Jack within the final hours. That would make this all epic.

Gregory Izten is an amazing actor. His performance tonight reminded me what made season five so great. I hope he does survive this season as I think Logan is a very compelling character they could move over to the 24 movie(s) if necessary.

Not really sure what to make about last night's episode. It was kind of predictable that JB would take the helicopter at the end, but other than that the entire episode was a bunch of posturing.
Logan is a manipulative shrew. I predict he gets killed being "of service" to his country. I also predict Jack meets up with Tony and they go bash bros on the Russians.

For all of the statements about how this show is in real time, last night really left me scratching my head. How quickly Jack got from the hospital to CTU, literally about four minutes. How quickly the President got from the UN to CTU, another three or four minutes. I guess traffic isn't bad in the city, hahaha. Looking forward to it ending actually.

Wrong(in a non condescending way). In the final episode of season 7 Tony is ambushed by the FBI and taken into custody.
Quote from Wikipedia: "Wilson arrives to speak with Tony, but the group is ambushed by the FBI, who raid the area. Retreating into a warehouse, Tony kills Cara and beats Wilson to the ground. Holding a gun to Wilson's head, Tony, frenzied by rage, reveals that Michelle was pregnant with his son when Wilson ordered her death. As he prepares to kill Wilson, Tony is shot and wounded by Jack and Renee. As the FBI arrests him, Tony curses Jack as a coward and a traitor, and is led away screaming into FBI custody."

Ding dong the witch is dead. Good episode last night, the writing is on the wall for the end of 24 though.

Yea, even right up to the end she was trying to manipulate her way out of it. I didn't feel bad in the least when she got rocked. I actually golf clapped for Jack.

But she was looking way hot in her last episode.
That was one of the best episodes of the season.
