I interact with more much interesting, intelligent and beautiful women than ever before and they're far more attainable because as a guy in your late 20's/early 30's your usually have a lot more to offer and show for yourself than just being a party guy.

In today's society, late 20's/to mid 30's is the prime of your social/dating life as a male IMO.

Meh... I'm in my late 20's, and I don't really care. I feel better physically now than when I was 18-22, and in your late 20's is when picking up women is like shootin' fish in a barrel. I still go out and have fun while all my friends have babies.

I'm sure getting married, having babies and telling myself I'm old is fun, but while everyone else is doing that I'm going to still go traveling the world, meet women, hang out with interesting people, try new career directions and live experiences. I'm not sure marriage is all it's cut out to be anyways... but that's just my opinion.

Packing it in in your 20's is so old school / small town. Don't believe me? Go to a place like New York or Los Angeles.... you're just a baby in your late 20's still.

Thats all well and good, but what does it have to do with "I'm hungover at work"?

When you are 28, make ok money, and are single, all the girls who are ok looking but way to b*tchy for anyone to marry flock to you in one last shot at not turning into a spinster cat-lady. They come over and talk about how much better the more expensive of the 2 red wines you have are, and how much they loved eating that particularly stinky cheese last time they were in Europe. They love Europe. They wear their cute sundresses there. Except then all the foreign men hit on them. They hate that. They also hate their coworkers. For whatever reason they are always SOOOOOOO nice to all of them, but they are just jerks. Especially the women. But it's probably because they are jealous because they are younger, skinnier, and prettier than them. They want a Mini Cooper or a BMW X3. They are cute cars. You should buy them one. Tee hee hee! OMG the bachelor is on!!!!! You don't like playoff games when the Flames aren't playing anyways, right? Fool around after? Yeah right. Every time they give it up the guy never calls again, so you'll be spending nights like this for weeks.

It's over man. It's alllll over.

They also face social annihilation if they do not have granite counter-tops.

That's 35, man. 28 year-old men date early-to-mid 20's girls. They're still healthy and touchable at that age.

I don't know. I'm 25 and my girlfriend is 27, and I'd much rather date her than the majority of the vain, vapid, airheads that make up my age group and younger.

I'm also 25 and was sort of seeing a 19 year old for a while. I got tired of her flaky BS really quickly.

They're not all like that. Mine just turned 24 and is going through med school. Personality-wise she could be in her mid-30's because of her maturity, rational thinking and a wit about her I really enjoy.

I'm primarily referring to their relation to late 20's/early 30's women as hulkrogan was suggesting, who are bitter, cat-loving desparate creatures longing for the perfect man thatt will never come.

I say mold their expectations for men when they're still impressionable but mature enough in their early 20's, and you've got a keeper.

I was about to wonder aloud how this thread went from drinking to women, but then I thought, well yeah one almost always proceeds the other.

I definitely noticed the hangovers getting worse as I have aged. I am 28 and when I was 23-25 and single I could go out party at the club until 3AM on a Thursday or any day of the week if I had a girl to chase or on the go. I could cure that with a breakfast sandwich in the morning and some caffeine.

I noticed at about 27 that hangovers lasted longer and were more frequent. These days if I get pretty drunk on a Friday or Saturday the next day is completely written off. Even natures cure for a hangover doesn't work like it used to. I never get drunk on a work night anymore unless it is completely accidental (stampede excluded)

It's because you're out of practice. Ramp up the drinking and you'll start coping better again. Old man hangovers are because you let your body think it won. Teach it to stay on it's toes.

I think I'm due pretty soon, time to come to work smelling of fire and booze after one of these nice warm nights.
This. I was just thinking the other day how I hadn't really let loose in a while, so what do I do? Go to the Knights game on Monday, have a bunch of beers at dinner, a bunch of Caesar's in the private box we had. Game was over, had a ride home and would have felt fine the next day, it was only 9:30. Instead me and one of th guys head out for beers, crawl into my place around 1:00 and proceed to drink until 3:30. I get up Tuesday, shower, get dressed, take my son to school with plans to go into the office. I get my son to school and then it kicks in.....big time hangover.

I get home, take my laptop up to bed (my wife has a home day care so needed to stay away for my sanity) around 9:30am, next thing you know it's 3:00pm and I have slept most of the day away. Luckily, I can "work from home" whenever I want so no issues with the job, but man did I feel like garbage.

I love my 30's way more than my 20's. Great job, good money, I can buy all the crap I wanted when I was 14.

NHL season tickets with good sightlines. Lanny McDonald rookie card. Slapshot poster autographed by the entire cast.

Not to mention... cars!

Oh - and when you're old enough to be the boss you can get pretty much as drunk and hungover at lunch as you want. As long as you get what you need to done.

I frankly can't wait for the 40's.
