Does this sound like a good idea to anybody ???

A natural gas fireplace sitting in a wooden gazebo that is right next to the house... and dummy number one puts a spare tire and a lawn chair on it. So when the tree next to it catches on fire, dummy number 2 pees on it to put it out. Following this when we head out to our backyard... number 1 and 2 dummies are just sitting there while burning hot coals are lighting the deck on fire.

needless to say dummy number 1 is banned from the house... and dummy number 2 (who is actually a part owner of the house) is going to get an earful.
Are these friends of yours?

How old are these people? Peeing on it to put it out? Do that once and forever you will know its a bad idea.

Congrats Cube. Keep it alive buddy.

Can't believe this is the first time that I've seen this thread. Friday's used to be bad but being married has ended that, unless there is a work function. I am now mostly a weekend drinker, but that sometimes makes for a Monday hangover. Yesterday, I was hungover from a Saturday night family party and then a few late night drinks at a bar and then a buddies place, I crawled in at 4:00 and was up at 8:00 to head to the Jays game. I was still drunk, so no morning coffee, just a few travellers. Wasted again. Then we get to a restuarant at 11:00 a few pints and a bite and 5 Larges at the Jays game ($50 later) and we head home, a couple travellers on the way home and a beer with dinner. Went to bed at 10:00 and still was tired and hungover yesterday. To top it off, I also just got the cold that my son and wife had.

Today has been much better, just the cold.

I thought of this thread this morning for some reason. I'm not really hungover, just super tired, but I'm at work and feeling useless. This thread is making me feel really old. All the stuff I thought was awesome 5 years ago looks really lame now.

Oh to be 20 and ######ed again.

You, young man, are a real piece of work. Grow up and start dressing professionally!

EDIT: Also, lose some weight and get a better haircut.

We should give 2007 Yeah_Baby the same advice.

Its funny, 2007 doesn't seem that long ago, but when I think of my average night 5 years ago, I realize I'm getting lame. So much so that every once in a while I will try make a point to myself that I'm not lame anymore and suffer dearly for the next day or two. I think I'm due pretty soon, time to come to work smelling of fire and booze after one of these nice warm nights.

The 45 year old Hangover will make you want to stop drinking all together.

Yeah....getting old and lame. One day, before you know it we'll be married and that gun on the table with only one bullet in it will be laughing at us.

It's kind of funny because I get hangovers way less than I used (pretty much not at all), but I get way more tired than I used to and I can't function on small amounts of sleep like I used to. But yeah, 5 years ago seems like another life to me. It's a little surreal.

This thread depresses me. 5 years ago I was pulling all nighters and then working 7-3:30. Now if I'm not in bed by 11 my body punishes me.

Booo responsibility!

Everyone should outright quit drinking by the time they're 40, drinking is a young man's game, the hangovers that I got in my 20's for all night drinking are nothing compared to the hangovers I get now after 3 or 4 beers.

Timely, it's my birthday today (23) and we celebrated the event on Saturday, leading to a fun Sunday work hangover. Woo!

I don`t drink much, but you have to let loose every now and then, damn the consequences!

You still have your whole life ahead of you, you lucky #######.

It doesn't get better than your 20s. Enough money to find trouble all over the world and not enough common sense, responsibility, or shame to stop you. Magical times, really.

I'm still in my 20s (I'm 25) but I can definitely see that the train is coming to a stop sooner than later. I'm right on the very edge of still being able to go to clubs and house parties without being the creepy older guy, but that window is closing in a hurry.

I turn 29 on Wednesday, and I have 367 days of fast and furious living just as much as my early 20's - this has been a very memorable decade for me. And I plan to continue this well into my 30's. No sense in stopping just because society tells you to!

It is possible to be the cool older guy, isn't it? Isn't it?

Sincerely,

Jesus, I can’t figure out what in this thread makes me more depressed – the fact that I’m in the twilight of my 20’s, with responsibility and commitment waiting just around the corner, or how much of a d-bag I used to be.
