Yeah this thread has pretty much ruined my day. What a downer.

I just need to remember I'm only 11 months removed from a huge fire in my front yard and cigars and tall boys watching the Vancouver riots live on our cell phones, running between 7-11 and the liquor store for refills when required.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of embarassed of how proud I was of myself at the time.

Oh you'll learn. Or husband, whichever. Either way, the fun police will visit way too often soon. Very soon

Sounds like a decent time. I celebrated with a bunch of chicks around though - but whatever floats your boat.
MRCboicgy tall? I always thought he sounded short.

If your "bunch of chicks" are anything like the average girl, I'd wayyyy rather spend the night with 4 tall boys than 4 girls:

This is an absolutely priceless exchange. And I can relate to both.

Kind of makes you wonder why we get married and have kids hey? I guess the people who travel around living life and experiencing tons of things have it right.

Until you get old. I want kids for when I'm 70. Otherwise being 70 is going to be totally sucky and depressing.

Wow - you think you're old at 25, I'm well over double your age, and I'm still young. Growing old is unavoidable - Growing up is optional

Eventually, that all gets boring. When you get older, the only really important things are your health, your kids and grandkids.

I wish I could still go out and tie one on like I could 5 years ago...I'm only 27, but I can't drink more than 5-6 beers without a substantial hangover.
I remember being in university and getting drunk 5 nights a week...now I'm back in university and can't imagine doing that. I guess I can understand why U of L "invited" me not to come back.
I know I'm not old, but I'm already thinking back to my days of young fun...I don't know what I'm going to do when I actually get old.

That's not true for everyone. Some people just prefer to be childless. I know a good handful of people who do.

Chin up, it can get a lot better.

I'm 28 and my social life is way better than 25. I am more accomplished, confident, make more money, own a nice place and spend much more time doing interesting things with interesting people instead of clubbing all the time.

I interact with more much interesting, intelligent and beautiful women than ever before and they're far more attainable because as a guy in your late 20's/early 30's your usually have a lot more to offer and show for yourself than just being a party guy.

In today's society, late 20's/to mid 30's is the prime of your social/dating life as a male IMO.

I hate to imagine what hot tar roofing or working on a paving crew would be like on a hot summers day with a bad hangover.

It's probably pretty bad, but the upside is that you can puke wherever you want, then just dump some tar on it.

This quote made me feel not so bad about being 28...

Just wait till your compromised body, mind, relationships tell you to stop.
