Representatives from Calgary and Chicago were among those present at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport Friday night when Quinnipiac lost to Providence in the opener of the NCAA East Regional.

Also wanted to chip in that the line of BVB - Monahan - Gaudreau at development camp was outshining the rest by a fair margin. Worth experimenting with in future although Gaudreau - Monahan - Colborne makes more sense to me now.

The hawks offering NHL spot makes little sense.
They only have 2 reserve spots open and they are reportedly saving them for Hayes and Johns.

They haven't signed Johns yet and they were eliminated this weekend, so doesn't seem like a sure thing they want to offer him up a spot.

It's a good thing they did this.
There aren't any touted LW prospects on the Heat that deserve a look at the end of the season.

How much does Burke hate Baertschi, again?

I don't think one has to do with the other.

Those two players aren't even remotely competing for the same spots on an NHL roster.

Van Brabant comes as advertised. Big kid who skates well and can battle on the boards. Looks like he might have a future as a bottom 6 guy.

I thought maybe his foot speed was a little slow TBQH.

Not like it matter anyway ....looked gritty ....maybe he ends up being another Bouma??

Glad he'll definitely add depth and competition

Playing Sven 5 games at the end of the season isn't going to change anything. Offering this guy some games in the NHL is likely why he signed here.

If you like this guy and want him in the system, you give him the games rather then Sven coming up and playing meaningless games.

I don't really want to make a new thread for this, but is this a disciplinary leave? Hope he is okay.

It is odd that TGW can't even find room for him. There must be something going on there. Hanowski was scoring fine at the beginning of the season and then by mid season was relegated to the 4th line.
 |
Ya the footspeed has improved but I still don't know if it is good enough to cement a top-9 spot in the NHL...

All the college kids hit a wall around mid-season. They aren't used to playing so many games so a drop off is usually expected.

Knight, Jooris, Ramage, Hanowski all seemed to slow down as the year went on..
