The Flames organization hasn't had a prospect the caliber of Baertschi or Gaudreau offensively for the better part of two decades. No way should Gaudreaus value to THIS organization can be overstated.

If Gaudreau was a Bruin right now anyone suggesting we could get him for Iginla would be laughed at and called idiots the way people have suggested guys like Hamilton.
Kid's a keeper.

Re: makarov
They aren't discussing that.
Rob Kerr is saying that could be a likely hold up of a potential deal.

I agree but I was referring to "If we include Gaudreau, then they better add their 1st round pick for the next 5 years" and "They better add Hamilton"

The general Boston community doesn't really get behind Boston College too much, but they certainly follow BC sports enough to know how good Gaudreau is.
Either way, can we stop talking about trading him? I already am depressed enough about the idea of trading Iginla, but trading Gaudreau with him would send me over the edge.

I'm sorry the term "Legend" put some off in here. But I was under the impression Johnny Hockey was an Icon in the Boston Hockey scene. Maybe I shouldn't have used "icon" either.
Well however you want to spin it, he is really popular in Boston and I am sure the Bruins would just love to have him as a face to market in the area.

I don't know if random guy on hfboards and random guy on Calgary puck holds up all that much.

Koko + Spooner + 2013 1st and I'm happy.
I'm ok with Feaster throwing in a 4th or Nemisz (or both really)

I don't think Gaudreau has enough value now to match his potential SHOULD he develop fully. I think you keep him and take the risk that he busts, cause if he booms, he's going to boom big.

So what would you want if Feaster included him? I think the point they were trying to make with the hyperbole is that he should not be included at all

I really don't want to see a goalie prospect as part of the return for Iggy. Way too much of a crap shoot imo.

You don't include him, or you ask for a realistic return.
A realistic return for him would be something like a 2nd maybe?

I don't necessarily think Gaudreau is going to be a legit NHL'er, but I think I'd prefer to find out while he's part of our system. Too much sour taste in the mouth from St. Louis.
That being said, if Hamilton was in play, Johnny would obviously be movable, but I just don't see any possible way that Boston moves Hamilton. He's got to be in the top two or three true "untouchables" on that team. Chara is getting up there and they don't have anything approaching him in their system. Few teams do.
