I agree but majority of people I know read (alot), people just don't like to admit it.

I've tried out all of them and currently have a few best friends and I consider my sisters my best friends as well.
Overrated:
-Coffee
-Too much alcohol (I'm not a huge drinker but what's more unattractive then a stinky drunk a-hole hitting on you? also just in general I'm sick of this whole 'you need to drink to have fun', if you do then you are a pretty sad person).
-iPods lets be honest I have one and I like having one but it really doesn't have anything to do with the functions it's more of a fashion statement.
-Money (it really doesn't make you happy)
-Celeberties
-50 Cent and all other rappers/hiphop artists or whatever they are called now that put down Women.
-Slang
Underrated:
-Other Mp3's that don't get the same hype as iPods (Zen Micro), they do the same things but just aren't catchy enough apparently.
-Importance of travelling to underprivileged countries, once you've done this you will have no idea how your life will change, you will look at a working toilet differently. To many people spend there time on expensive resorts and sit on a beach all day long, my idea of a vacation (although the beaches are great) is going to places like Africa and staying/travelling amongst the people and learning about them.
-Taking a break after highschool, too many people emphasise the importance of going back right away, I took a few years off and I've changed a lot since highschool, and have the right mindset to go to University and succeed, I'm more motivated NOW then I was straight out of high school.
-Meaningful jobs to many people choose money over their dreams it's sad, I want to be able to say I did what I wanted to do and I never let money stand in the way of my dreams.
-Teachers & Nurses, People really don't appreciate the things teachers/nurses do for us, and on a daily basis take them for granted. Where would be without them????
-History this seems like a stupid one but ever since I was in school in Social Studies class everyone always use to ask why do we need to learn about the past and other countries past, it's ridiculous.
-The importance of teaching about the Bible, Qur'an etc. etc. This one is tough you don't want to preach religion but in-order to (IMO) help eliminate racism we need to learn about eachother, and have a better understanding. Vast majority of the ignorant jerks (racists) I met in my life all don't understand a thing about my or others religion/beliefs and are quick to judge and make assumptions. Knowledge is very powerful.
-Learning how to read and write in proper English (I'm very, very, very guilty of this).
-Importance of a second language.
