5 shutouts in 13 games is amazing, god tier goaltending numbers from Markstrom. Be interesting to see how he keeps it up.

Yeah, its reminiscent of 05-06 except this team has players who can score. Unlike Tony Amonte who just liked to hit posts (and show off his hog)

In fairness, the Flames in 2017-18, 2018-19, and post-Sutter 2020-21 had pretty good numbers too. But for whatever reason you wanna pin it on (poor luck, goaltending, systems or individual players being exposed, poor finishing, Glen Gulutzan) the goal results were only there in 2018-19.
