Didn't see the game, but it's sure nice to get back in the win column and see the offence finally come alive. A game like this can go a long way in boosting their confidence in that area.

Also, this was an important 2 points considering the last two games on this trip will be much tougher.

22 in 44 games, but that was before the forward pass was legalized.

The modern record is Tony Esposito's 15 in 1969-70. Hasek had 13 in 1997-98. The best post-lockout was Brodeur, who had 12 in 2006-07.

The Flames record is Kipper's 10 in 2005-06.

Markstrom now has 8 shutouts with the Flames in 56 games.

He had 5 shutouts with Vancouver in 229 games.

LOL.

It's funny, for a team that some consider to be having offensive challenges, they have a +20 goal differential on the season 17 games in. Best in the WC.

Every network does it, every one, except for the feature ESPN or HNIC games.
TSN didn't even have the players off the ice before SportsCenter..Networks trying to hook viewers into their highlight shows to get that viewership up so they can try and charge advertisers more for that.

LOL.
Did he have any shutouts last season when Ward was still the coach, or have they all come with Sutter behind the bench?

It was interesting seeing the difference that coaching makes in this game. Sabres throwing a lot of pucks in front of the net, and not a Buffalo soul to be seen in any dangerous areas. As the game went on, the only players crashing the net or playing the slot at all was the fourth line of Routsalinen, Hayden and Bjork. They were rewarded with no extra minutes.

I'm not sure if Don Granato is the 'guy' to turn things around in Buffalo.
