Has anyone noticed that the only 5 goalies have more than one shutout this year and all their names are either Ilya or Jack/Jake/Jacob?

Goal differential tends to be a really simple yet uncanny way of measuring how good a team is. There are sometimes outliers, but the end of the season standings almost always reflect a similar ranking by goal differential, within a few goals.
Only 20% of the way through the season so far, but hopefully they can keep it up.

Flames team rankings so far:
Goals for per game = 11th (3.18)
Goals against per game = 2nd (2.00)
Shots per game = 4th (34.6)
Shots against per game = 7th (29.5)
Powerplay = 10th (23.5%)
Penalty kill = 4th (87.3%)
To be basically top ten in all these categories really bodes well IMO.
Long live Sutter hockey. My goodness what a difference.
Somebody else can do advanced stats if they want, but I'm sure the Flames are ranked very high in most of those too.
