Even if there are a few, I wouldn't expect the Flames to put in a claim. Treliving dealt with the persistent headache of having too many goalies in 2015, and I am confident the team has no desire to repeat that blunder.
If the Flames have the opportunity and urgent need to upgrade in goal this season it will come in the form of a trade. There is no such urgency on the eve of the season opener.

As a francophone (European) I want to say that I have always liked how casually comfortable Canadians are with french spellings and words in general. (Not everyone of course, shout out to those that feel the need to overact to everything that happens in Québec)
I don't experience this anywhere else that is English only or English dominant. It nice. I like it

One can argue the Flames already have too many pro goalies as tradtionally the NHL only gets one of the goalie slots on an ECHL team. I assume we are sending both McDonald and Schneider.
Claiming another off waivers would really jam things up.

Nice pick up by Washington snagging Jaskin from the Blues.

None. Every team has to have a compliant 23-man roster by the end of the day.

A tonne; so approximately 10 goalies given their average weight?

I think you’re going to be disappointed if you’re expecting outrage over missing out on McE and Pickard. Always a chance they would be better than what we have but there’s not going to be much anger over those two IMO.

Jaskin is a good fit but the Caps have a viable option on their farm in Axel Johnsson-Fjalby.
Good for Jaskin though, guys needed a change of scenery for a couple of seasons now.

Toronto better hope Sparks can win or they’ll be hunting for a backup.

I was just keeping an open mind, the Flames are currently at 46/50 contracts, if a claim improves the 12th/13th/14th F or 6th/7th D why not. Plus injuries will eventually happen, the Flames have been so lucky in this department over the past few seasons, with not too many injuries occurring at the same time.

If you look at the lineup I don't see any reason to think that there would be players available via waivers who would improve the bottom end. It's a nice idea, but likely not all that realistic.

For 3rd goaltender, they're down to their ECHL goalie and an undrafted guy they loaned out last season.

I just seen that Sam Gagner was on waivers. How is he not good enough to crack the Canucks lineup?

There's tweets that they're going to loan him to the Marlies so he can be home with his young family. Maybe they trade him to Ottawa.
And Vancouver is going nuts on letting their youth play.
