Surprised not to see Stewart in the lineup tonight. Not only did he score the only Flames' goal in the past 20 games or so (or at least, that is how it felt like), but if Stewart should play in ANY game it should be against the Oilers. I find that... interesting. Now most of you will just shake your heads and say "who cares", or even "good!", but honestly, there isn't another game that you could legitimately play Stewart in.

Hopefully Flames show up and play hard in this one, and get a bounce or two their way to increase their win streak against the Oilers.

Not to defend it what so ever. But wasn't that losing streak the one that finally broke the fans' back? The boo birds were stong for a few games then. And what triggered the "Rebuild" or post Iggy era.

It goes along with the same logic of playing Glass?

Stewart at least can make something happen with the puck and he scored the lone goal in the last 3 Flames games, but GG knows something good is about to happen with Glass in the lineup.

I spent the last few hours playing a playoff run on NHL 2016 on PlayStation. A few observations:

1) It makes me sad that there won't be any flames playoffs this year.

2) It is amazing what that roster was able to accomplish. Given the timing and hints on the fan 960, I don't think it was a coincidence that Hartley was fired the same year as Monahan and Gaudreau needed a contract. Having said that it is still amazing what he managed to do with that Roster.

3) I may spend the next 3 hours trying to win the Stanley cup and it will likely be time better spent than watching this turd of a game. I hope I am wrong and the team plays for each other and for Gaudreau coming back but I am not confident.

Scratching Stewart after he scored is a head scratcher. I know it doesn't really matter and Stewart has been far from a world beater.... but he actually scored when nobody else could and then gets benched. I mean whatever but really.
