Are they not 3 pts out with more than 1/2 a season? A lot can happen, it wasn't going to be easy.

Didn't see these posted yet:

@DarrenWHaynes
In 2015, Flames traded their first and two second round picks to Boston for Dougie Hamilton. Tonight, Andrew Mangiapane — a sixth round pick that year — will match the combined number of NHL games played so far by the three players taken by the Bruins.

Mangiapane will be the first player from the sixth round of that 2015 draft to play an NHL game. In fact, he’ll beat four of that year’s first rounders to the show and 20 of the second round picks.

Flames had an easier schedule over the last 44 last year, but I suppose this team with this coach could possibly get to. 625 over their last 44. If they lose tonight they have to go .640 over their last 43. They are getting close to being more or less logically mathematically eliminated.

But I do appreciate the sentiment that there is nothing to see here, BT built a good team (best GM in Flames history according to some), GG is a good coach with Babcock like systems, but the basic math (which no amount of spin can deny) is quickly building a bulwark against their playoff aspirations.

Default Flames recall Mangiapane. Frolik on IR

Can any of Phillips, Mangiapane, or Gaudreau play centre? I’d love to see those three play together. The Minnpin line.

Do you plan on bitching about this for the rest of the year? Just stop watching if you think the season is over. You have an obsession with this trade without even knowing where the flames finish, how Hamonic plays over the next 3 years, how the team plays over that time, who is even available with the pick, etc etc etc.

So when Mangipane lulls and the displeasure becomes so insurmountable on CP, can we then replace yeatmode with sourdough? Or is sourdough too tasty to latch negatively on to someone.

Hope he doesn't loaf around and instead, rises to the occasion!

Sourdough is not tasty and anyone that says otherwise is wrong.

Someone needs to visit a Boudin Sourdough shop in San Francisco and then get back to me.

I don't mind if Andrew gets naan as long as Smitty gets a bagel.

Quit lumping a bunch of different statements from different people together. I'm the one person that said my OPINION was that Treliving was the best GM the Flames have had (and even if you think he's not, there's no denying that he's a very close second) I admitted that he made a few boneheaded moves. What I didn't say was that there was no issues and "nothing to see here"

Better than Cliff Fletcher? Really? Are you old enough to remember his drafting history and most of those trades? Don't forget the President's Trophies and the Stanley Cup.

How could Treliving be mentioned in the same breath?
