No particular order, but we should see Hudler and Russell moved for assets.
If Treliving could also find a way to move Raymond, Wideman, Jones and Hiller we would have to change his name to Gandalf Treliving!

^ Why keep Gio and Stajan? If you want Oilers south you should get rid of anyone who is no longer on their ELC :-)

I guess I view this as more of a "hockey trade" than a deadline deal.

That seems like a slight overpayment for Drouin. What sort of draft picks are Hudler and Russell worth? At least a 2nd rounder each I would think and possibly much more. So at minimum that would be like trading three 2nd rounders for Drouin.

With the lack of D-men I wouldn't be shocked if Russell got a 1st and Hudler will likely get a 1st. That's too much for Drouin.

Zero chance Hudler gets a 1st IMO.
Defensemen go for more at the deadline historically unless you're talking about an elite forward. Depth defensemen definitely go for far more than depth forwards.
There's a chance Russell could get us a 1st or two ends. Engelland may have decent value too.

Stars give up the most valuable piece, take a cap dump (maybe two, depending on how you feel about Bouma) and only get a small upgrade in draft position?
Might as well ask for Seguin too.

Not a proposal. It's a prediction, a bad one, but a prediction none-the-less.

Overpayment? Really wow I'd consider that deal an absolute steal for Calgary personally. Just could never see Tampa wanting two marginal rentals (Hudler and Russell) & 2nd rounder for a potential (super)star 1st liner.
