So I'd say the Vikings were slightly better than the Saints, and I haven't heard an argument from a Saints fan yet. They won the game, and I hope they make the best of the opportunity in the Super Bowl. But, in my opinion, the better team lost on Sunday night.

The Saints won, and they deserve the credit for limiting turnovers. But ex turnovers the Vikings dominated. If that game is any indication, Favre should definately come back IMO - even though I cant stand him. He completely outplayed Brees.

I have some buddies going down and they've found that the cheapest tickets are between $1,600 and $1,800. And those are for nosebleed seats.
One of those going to Miami is a huge huge Colts fan, trying to convince him to find a single ticket and soak it all in.

Hey don't get me wrong, I'm not taking anything away from the Saints victory, I'm just responding to a comment I find to be comical and incorrect.

If it was me and the Chiefs made the Super Bowl, I wouldn't go to the game even if money was no object. The Super Bowl has become too corporate. I would go to Kansas City and watch it in a sports bar along with my fellow Chiefs fans with a huge rack of ribs in front of me. Then if the Chiefs win I would watch the gun shooting in the air along with the cop car burning in person.

Morestead forced explosive guys like Percy Harvin into taking a knee in the endzone on seemingly every kick-off. The Saints were also tackling very well on punts, something I was very impressed with considering arguably our best ST player in Malcolm Jenkins was out. Meanwhile, the Saints were getting big returns from both Courtney Roby and Pierre Thomas all game, setting up great field position, including on what ended up being the game-winning drive.
For the Saints fans on here, I think we all remember how in the '06 NFC Championship, Chicago punter Brad Maynard basically turned the game around for the Bears in the 2nd half with constant coffin corner kicks, I've never seen a punter play so well. In fact I think where the Saints finally fell apart was on that Brees safety, which started when Maynard forced the Saints to start their drive on their own 2.
As we all know, games can easily be won and lost on ST play. The Saints were clearly the better team in this area, so its not surprising they won the game.

I wouldn't say he completely outplayed him, considering Brees had 3 TD's to 0 INT's, meanwhile Favre had a couple picks, including a boneheaded one late that essentially killed their season. But I agree he was the better of the two on Sunday. Ya as I posted on here yesterday, even though I'm a serious Favre-hater, I gained mad respect for his toughness in that game. I can't believe he didn't miss a single snap with some of those hits he was taking. Visante Shiancoe played lights out too, that guy's something else.
Ya I don't know what was with Brees in that 2nd half, he was just...off. I haven't seen him miss open receivers like that in a long time. The ball just kept sailing on him. At the time I was actually a little worried he had hurt his throwing arm or something. I expect a much better performance from him in the Super Bowl, I have a feeling he's going to want to prove how good he is to the people of Miami specifically, for obvious reasons..
