I hate losing as much and probably more than the next guy, but as a fan right now I'm looking for progression, not instant results like you seem to seek.

Yeah I agree. This losing streak proves we don't get pushed over and whacked 4-0 like we did a few years ago I against the bigger teams. But to be happy with it isn't the right thing to say. I'm pissed off we lost to Buffalo and Toronto. Kinda expected tougher games against Pittsburgh and Chicago

The goal is not solely on him....his D men were being overly aggressive at a time in the game that didn't need it.
Yes they were being outplayed and had an opportunity, but 1-1 against Chicago with 6+ mins left is no time to be sending both D men deep.

Wow that Blackhawk team plays alot like the Flames
a couple of defensive lapses , a post by Jones and this was a Flames win
That is one hell of a good hockey team in Chicago , and the Flames played with them most of the game
learn and move on - No Quit ! ,GFG

I am actually pleased by how they are playing despite losing. They could have easily had 3 or 4 wins on this streak if they got some good bounces.
|
This. Flash back to the first period, Jones throws the gas on hits the post. The puck takes a weird frickim bounce. How it didn't hit Raanta square in the back was just Hawk luck.

This losing streak felt like so many games last year. Great effort every night. But They're overmatched against the good teams and they just don't seem to have enough finish to beat most teams. Hope they can turn things around back at home.

Agreed. All of them share some blame for the goal, but obviously Gaudreau's fall is going to be magnified. Mistakes happen, learn from it and move on.

Yep, this is what annoys me the most.
In perspective, we basically went toe to toe with one of, if not the best team in the league right now. We can skate with them, we can score with them. The difference is that Chicago has elite players at every position playing very well. We have good (Gio=elite) players and unproven rookies.
The jury is no longer out, the Flames can play with and beat any team in this league. But with such a young team and the odd boneheaded play, inexperience will rear its ugly head from time to time.
I'm pretty meh on Raymond. I'm starting to like Colborne more and more and I think we really need Backlund back.

And with the loss, the Flames are now out of the playoffs.

Not many teams go into Chicago and win (3 reg. losses this year at home, 7 all last season).
It sucks that the game happened during this 5 game losing streak, but games in Chicago are about the toughest win in the league.
Get back home and get some wins. Team has played 4 more road games than home games at this point.

I'm pissed off that a 5 game losing streak is going to prove all the naysayers right until the Flames win a few. Let's face it, they should have won at least two of these games. It is frustrating.

Come on now....watching your favorite team lose five hockey games in a row is definitely a first world problem.
In the words of a fine gentleman, "Eez only game."
