Flames Flames 1 - Blackhawks 2

Energetic game by both teams, but Hawks top the Flames 2-1.

Not a terrible game. Chicago is on a tear, and they played well. Mistakes were made, but I am still happy with the effort for the most part. Also, I love how after Johnny made that costly mistake, he appeared to not let it get to him (in a negative sense) and continued to work his magic.

5 losses in a row, but it is not like the Flames have been anywhere close to Oilers bad.

The effort is there. The worst part for me is all the blowhard analytics people saying Calgary will "come crashing down to earth" now patting themselves on the back. Gross.

3rd period by the Flames was terrible, except for the last 2 minutes....well, JG cost a game but he is learning and contributing. Just move on.....

God, no points in 5 games and quickly falling out of a playoff spot. So frustrating losing those points when flames play pretty well in past games. The 3rd period tonight was horrendous. One of, if not the worst period so far this season. So disappointing.

In general, they have looked fine on this slide. However, they are making crucial mistakes that end up in the back of the net.

Not one of our better games. Struggled to pass and keep up with the hawks most of the game

Yet again some of our more veteran players were invisible

Flames very guilty of sitting back playing passive in their own end. Then letting the Hawks top line get a 2-0. They are playing very poor fundamental hockey right now.

Agreed. Johnny is a rookie, he's going to make mistakes. He unfortunately blew a tire at a terrible time, it happens.

What's been up with the terrible plays resulting in odd man rushes our way when we are tied/have the lead lately?

I didn't think it was that bad. Chicago is a really good team with a lethal cycle game. Hiller made some great saves. Great setup by Johnny for Hudler. I can move on quite easily from this one.

Chicago looked great and they better win it this year before they are paying 2 players over 20 million combined going forward....

As a hockey fan, this was a great game to watch. As a Flames fan, #!&#@%*&^#%$.

It's tough and encouraging to see the team play as well as it has, but lose over the last 5. Some bonehead plays that get highlighted because of the losses.

Get back home, regroup, and count this as the adversity that players can learn from. It might be something the Flames need in the long run.

I don't care who they were playing. That third period was pretty embarrassing.

Nice that Brodie played a much better game after a rough stretch of 3-4.
