My lady friend is supposed to be departing YYC at noon for San Diego. Think she's going to get out?

There's been cancellations for some AB and BC flights, but it looks like most are leaving. I saw on the weather report that this afternoon is when it is supposed to get really ugly, so maybe she'll be out in time.
Lucky girl. Good time to leave!

She'll get out, most likely, but only after waiting in line to get de-iced, then waiting in line to take off.

I'm going home at noon. It's just not worth being out here in this.

Getting really bad up in Airdrie. Drive in was whiteout conditions and it's only getting worse.

Things are going to be slow at the airport. Only one runway is open and the braking on that runway is currently poor. Right now only 16 planes an hour are landing. It's usually around 35/hr in optimum conditions.

I don't know how bad it is in Calgary but in Edmonton everything is finally white! (Not a good thing.... I was really enjoying this brown winter)
Definitely nothing bad... and for sure driveable... just a lot of snow.

Wow - this was an awesome day to take a flex day and bake cookies! Too bad I do have to venture out sometime to get dulce de leche for the centre of the cookies, but at least I can walk to go get that.

Your job must suck on a day like today. I wouldn't blame you for not driving today.

Ugh, it's still snowing down south. 2-3 inches now. Working through lunch so I can leave early again.
