Holy Snow & Ice! Road Transgressions thread.
How long is this going to last?
My dad was coming in from Canmore this morning and said everyone was driving 30 with a lot of cars in the ditch.

Canada can be so rude sometimes. Before I die, I'm going to live at least a year or two somewhere it either doesn't snow or where snowfall is extremely rare.

Every winter I spend here saps my will to continue living here, even though it's been home nearly my entire life. I hate winter. One day, one glorious day, I will spend my days in a place where people haven't seen snow fall in 50+ years.

You'll only be trading the snow for rain.
I think the real solution is to have a place in Australia or NZ. Mid October, move there, mid April, move back here.

Today is one of those days that I enjoy the fact I miss the snow. I will however enjoy the traffic chaos here in Victoria when it snows and people panic.

In Winnipeg, loved the snow. Living in Calgary I'm beginning to dread it. I expect nightmare's about it to start shortly. I drive at work all day and getting stuck in the snow is not an option. Yet it happens frequently (sometimes you just have to stop where you know it might get ugly). Also every uphill road in Calgary needs to be sanded. At least until I learn to go up them when they are ice covered.

Well it last happened here in the 70s. Seriously though work hard so you can have a place to go in the winter if it bugs you. Living in a place that is warm all the time totally zaps your energy. As time goes on I beilieve we are supposed to renew ourselves with seasons/temperature changes.

It's supposed to snow most of the week. If anybody lives near Bronconnier, please drive in front of him at 10km/h and brake every 15 seconds.

It shocks me that snow continuously comes as a surprise to some Canadians each year in the Fall.

So would this be a bad time to bring up I'm going golfing later today?

What is this crap? I'm in Calgary from Edmonton for the game tonight. I'm tempted to head back to a nice summer city like Edmonton.

I'd rather it be snowing an -5 than clear and -30.
