I'm actually really enjoying having a northern winter again. I spent the last two years in Shanghai, where it hardly ever snows in the winter. Now that I'm up in the NE it's -26, snowy and beautiful out.
The climate where I'm at now actually feels just like Calgary, but colder.

I except 20cm of snow when I wake up. I hope not until after 12:45 (after I get home from school), but I think I am going to wake up to a mess out on the streets.

Looks like even us in the South are going to be getting some of the white stuff for the first time this season....its supposed to snow in Houston today as well, very unusual.

Snowing lightly at Currie Barracks now... I don't mind the snow as much as the instant freeze we had a week ago. If it comes down steadily the plows/sanders/salters should be able to cope better.

The fun of having your winters on is quickly negated by those that believe "it barely snows in Calgary" and "we don't live in a winter climate".
We just don't have it piled up on the side of the streets all winter like they do in Edmonton and Winnipeg to remind us.
