Agree on Regina...and PG is fairly scary as well...esp when the wind is blowing in from the pulp mill.

Butte is not my favorite part of Montana either. Very uninspiring.
Browning? Well, you don't have to go very far west to be in heaven from there, but the locals are not a friendly bunch at all. And the wind...ugh.

Wichita is a dirty, backward city of 400,000 that opposes all progress. Drug infested, gang infested and the weather sucks ass. I despise it.
Topeka, KS all the 'loveliness' of Wichita with 1/4 the population!
I spent about 6 hours in New Orleans once and thought it was the armpit of the South. Disgusting.
Lawton, Oklahoma is a hole.
And to be very specific, the Denver bus station. I spent 36 hours there once when it was extremely cold (so I couldn't leave) and I have never taken the bus since.

Lilongwe, Malawi was a pretty desperate case. Maputo, Mozambique also had a very 'negative' vibe to it...

Yes, living near Windsor, I have spent time in Detroit. I NEVER feel safe there.
I never breathe easy until I'm back in Canada

I went to Bryce Canyon, that was really nice to look at during Sunset. They sure do have great scenery, but that vibe can get to you if you do not leave the state within 24 hours

Can't argue with either of these choices! Although, Butte is a fun party town, and the St. Patrick's Day celebration is legendary.
Browning, on the other hand is a bad place to be. There are many towns like it on our reservations that are similar, if not worse. Poplar, in the northeastern corner of the state, has a law that no glass bottles are to be sold due to the litter/weapon issue in town.
I'm from Wolf Point, the town just west of Poplar. In the early 80's, our county had the highest per capita murder rate in the nation. It was a lot of fun going to basketball tournaments in these towns...
As for me, the worst place I've been to is probably either Albany, GA or Jacksonville, NC. Both military towns filled to capacity with check cashing businesses, pawn shops, and strip clubs, and not the good kind. The military is not neccessarily known for choosing the most breathtaking of landscapes to build bases on either.
Edit: DFF, New Orleans is like my second home! It just has a certain charm that takes a little while to appreciate!!!

You people may *think* you know the crappiest place in the world, but clearly you've never been stranded in Livingston, Montana for two days. 18 trains went by, they did.

Utah rules! I spent two weeks in Moab mountain biking and had the time of my life.
A friend of mine driving cross country stopped in Chicago to fill up with gas. A nice man ran out and said to him nicely: "I see you're not from around here (Alberta plates). Get back in the car, get back to the interstate and don't stop at the red lights. They'll kill ya." He listened and lived to tell the tale.

When I was living in Prince George I ended up in a slow pitch tournament in Fort St.James BC one weekend. Ended up staying there overnight, everyone else had the good sense to drive 2 hours back to Prince George, which given how PG rates in this thread says something. Scary, scary place, try being the only white guy trying to umpire a softball game in a money tournament. Ended up being an eventful night though probably fortunate to still be here after that.
Down town in Alice Springs Australia is a whole lot of I want to get the hell out of here too.

It's over crowded. A dump. Filled with smog. You can't see the sky. People there are rude.

All joking aside, I'll agree with Regina... most boring place I've ever had to go to.
Also, I haven't ever been there myself, but one of my best friends lives in a small town in northern Florida called Palatka. I've heard many stories. When I go to visit, we meet up in some small town outside of it and stay in Orlando because he's "not cruel enough" to bring me there, haha.
