I saw 10 minutes of the film 'The Hills Have Eyes', I am convinced that the deformed people from that film did not use make-up... they were recruited from Southern Utah.

...or maybe Edmonton, I am not sure.

Woah, Wonowon? I lived right down the highway in Pink Mountain for a few months. The only reason I even knew there was a place called Wonowon was the sign on the side of the highway. There was a turn-around there that we pulled over in to smoke an herbal cigarette (not the driver!). There's a major highway in Nova Scotia called the 101 so I believe jokes were made that we hadn't really travelled all that far after all.

Long winded way to ask... is there actually a town called Wonowon? Or is it just that sign on the Alaska Highway?

The sign claims there are services available... but I must have looked down to tie my shoe when we drove past them.

Wow, I had no idea. I cycled through there in 1981 and it just seemed like a quaint, rustic little town, maybe a little dirty.

You've clearly never been there during the summer. In the winter it is a cold and desolate wasteland but man when you get those weeks of nothing but 35 above and sunshine it is unbelievable. Nothing like sitting on a patio (at one of the cities many great little restaurants) enjoying a beer in that kind of heat.

Worst place i've been is Island Lake, Manitoba. It's really sad that a place like that can exist in Canada.

There's a reason no one has ever heard of it... its hell on earth. Its in the middle of nowhere, its cold, grey, ugly and smells bad. Some of the most unfriendly people I have ever met. Was bombed during both world wars, and they did a very poor job building it back up. Lots of factories. Lots of poverty.

And unfortunately I lived there. It was miserable. I had old men trying to kick down my door at night.

The only good part was that it was so bad there, it pushed me to travel elsewhere at every possible opportunity.

I'm sure it's actually a nice place but when I did a lot of travel for work I always found it either raining or snowing in Thunder Bay, Never ever have I seen the sun in about 13-14 trips threw there. I got stuck there twice with road closures because of snow (once for 2 days)...I swear theres a black cloud that hangs over that city.

You better watch it Locke. I'll sick some of my mafioso family on your ass.

Actually it is true. My family is from near Rome and they all think anything south of Rome is a dump.

For the guy who mentioned Regina, think of the area by the East side of Taylor Field, now imagine that over a whole city. Now you've got Hamilton.

I've heard Bruges is a sh**hole.

All joking aside, I'll agree with Regina... most boring place I've ever had to go to.

Also, I haven't ever been there myself, but one of my best friends lives in a small town in northern Florida called Palatka. I've heard many stories. When I go to visit, we meet up in some small town outside of it and stay in Orlando because he's "not cruel enough" to bring me there, haha.

Schulich Hall, U of C. What a facking dump that place is. You think with all the money that program gets they'd update the building a little. I don't know how engineers spend an entire 4+ years in that building. I feel like I'm going to get asbestos poisoning just stepping inside. Its the number 1 reason I skip most of my CPSC classes

Old Delhi, India

Pretty sure the old lady laying in the street as hundreds of people passed by was dead. No one did a damn thing, my driver said "no way man, keep moving"

Utah? Really? I would have to say Utah has some of the most beautiful landscapes in North America. The people are scary though...no joke. I always get a 'Children of the Corn' vibe when passing through.

I see none of you have spent anytime in Detroit...makes Tiajuana look nice and safe.

yeah, scary place. Was walking out alone after dark (8 or 9 pm) when all the street lights suddenly went off. I was more than a little concerned it may be my last few moments on earth
