I would suspect because schools and class sizes are getting larger so ceremonies are taking longer, they are combining schools to reduce costs so there is even more people.

Society now is much more individualistic than it was 20 years ago and there is more of an attitude that someone is special or above the group so it is okay to waste othes times.

With that kids reading skills if I was his parent I'd be cheering like crazy as well and the school should be embarrassed.

Exactly what I thought as soon as I scrolled down and saw the videos posted and realized this was a black school. You just know the superintendents hand was forced on this one.

This is what I'm thinking too. I went to Beaverbrook, and there was something around 900 graduates. In the Principal's graduation speech, he mentioned something around the lines of only applause is allowed.

I meant predominantly black, but then I looked a little closer and that isn't true either. Still... not very surprising that its black ladies getting escorted out of buildings for making too much noise.

Better to live in Canada then in the US. People are getting arrested for anything and everything in the US. Read a story about a grandma who got arrested at a drive-through for complaining about her order. A woman in her 80s. It's becoming the arrest capital of the world for the most minor of issues...

The U.S. has became the "lets be PC and not hurt anyone's feelings" state. it's sad that we have to be so PC all the time because someone may get their precious feelings hurt.
