Phil Simms has stated that he will try not to say 'Redskins' during tonights broadcast.

Nance has said it is not his job to take a stance.

Which is, of course, largely beside the point.

Regardless, his quest to be as bland, boring, and inoffensive as possible continues. He should have gone into the clergy.

I think Phil Simms should go ahead and not say anything on TNF. Then they can bring back my boy Mike Mayock!

Well I say good riddance!
I'm sure he got suspended for the way he challenged his employers to reprimand him, rather than his comments towards Goodell and the NFL.

Giants all over the Redskins early. Manning just picking them apart and their Dline is killing the Skins' Oline

Ya, why did they even get rid of the Nessler / Mayock pairing, they were great. NFL Network had awful announcing teams for years (remember Gumbel?), they finally strike gold with Nessler / Mayock, and now they ditch them after only a couple seasons. I don't get it.

CBS has been broadcasting the Thursday night games so that's why we're getting Nantz and Simms. Nessler and Mayock are still with NFL Network and will be doing the games when they return to the NFL Network later in the season.

Yeah, I think they still do the Westwood 1 radio broad casts. At times those two were the thing that made some of these Thursday games bearable. Again, last night was not much of a game.

NFL ought to put this Antonio Brownsegment on a continuous loop. Best story about the league in months

The NFL should just eliminate tackling and go to flags...it has become unwatchable.
