Remember earlier this season when Coronato had a hat trick taken away after the game because they determined one of the shots hit Coleman before it went in?
It would be funny if the same thing happened today and they found that Ovi's shot deflected off Chychrun.

Yeah, I thought Gretzky was fine. A little odd to thank the refs, but aside from that nothing to really complain about.

He scores a hell of a lot but overall it still doesn't help his team win when it counts. You can outscore (especially with special teams) problems in the regular season, but defensive play and even poor offensive decisions will catch up with you in the playoffs.
There are a ton of factors (not the least of which being luck) that have led Crosby to cups and Ovechkin to early playoff exits, but I think the differences are earned for the most part.
I don't think he deserves to be anywhere near the talk of 'greatest of all time'.

I especially liked his #9 pin. Classy move to put a drink counter on his lapel so we knew how sloshed he was. Makes his speech all the more impressive.

Unrelated but since I've been looking at the all-time career goals list I noticed Sid is 3 away from passing Sakic and Iginla at 625... And yes if you're wondering, I am that petty that I keep an eye on Iggy's place in the list and get disgruntled when active players pass him.
