I was just kidding, Kudos isn't bad.

Was trying to think of a hockey or Flames related term to go along with it. Assists maybe.

Yeah, I guess...

...too much like those Oiler blogs out there. Don't want that.

Sorry not your CP, your public profile. Click your name and the first option.

lol, Reggie brilliantly displayed the big problem with the thanks feature as implemented. Its far too much in the way.

Like the idea though, hopefully you can find a way to make it less obtrusive. "Assists" would be a good hockey theme, I think.

I don't care for this feature at all.. I think it clutters things up.

As I said the way its displayed I don't like either, I'm working on changing that so it'll fit inside the current postbit display. I don't think the list of names is necessary to display all the time either. I'm workin on it

As a thought, rather than just a thanks feature, how about a rating system for each post? Basically, a +/- system?

How about a "No Thanks" button - then I could use it on this feature.

Good idea, but the implementation is waaay too intrusive.

As Photon has said at least twice, he is looking at getting rid of the intrusiveness of it.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and I for one appreciate all the work that Photon is doing to try and improve the site. Guys, please be patient with him instead of jumping all over him.

I like the idea of a kind of iTines rating spin off thing. Not the reviews, just the bit where you can click "Agree" or "Disagree."

Maybe a "Thanks" and a "No Thanks" and then a total beside it that can be positive or negative.

If the total is +7, then: "7 people appreciated this post."
If the total is -7, then: "7 people didn't like this post."

I would keep the voting anonymous, though, otherwise it'll just be fake. Although, I think maybe a user-specific grand total underneath our names might serve the purpose the previous rep system did. Actually, I think this would solve everything... it would allow the community the ability to reward good posting habits, while still flagging poor posting habits. It would also keep it off the Mod Team's shoulders so it won't be a burden.

I have no clue how difficult it would be to install... there must be a bbcode plugin already for this, I'm sure.

Edit: I also appreciate the work Photon is doing on this. Others too, if there is more than just him. CP is easily the best run forum I've even visited.
