K I turned it on for every post just to see what that looks like.

Yeah there's no way to make the thanks private or to make them visible only to yourself.

If only the display was less intrusive, like a small visible thing rather than a huge bar below each post.

Or even to turn the display off so it was only visible in the individual's profile.

So close, yet so far away..

Not a huge fan of it all displayed below the avatar...kind of clutters that area up, you know? Although what you said before was also correct...putting the thanks box below every single post that gets thanked can also clutter things up. Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions, I just wanted to say I agreed.

Can there be a "Go Away Troll" button?

Haha, yeah I get that, but the people posting the thread wont. They'll just be thinking of the possibility of adding to their tally. (Not all users, and not good users, heck maybe not even any we have now, but there's people like that, lots on the internet, lol) And we'll have a constant stream of new threads pushing good ones and useful ones down.

It's probably one of those things that's wait and see whether it's a problem or not, and there's a very good chance it may not be. Just thought I'd share in case you guys didn't think about the possibility.

Definitely, I know I didn't think of that aspect.

Trying to play with it to see if I can get the result I want.

Is there a way to see the amount of 'thanks' you get?

Go to your user page and in the statistics there's some totals, how many you've given out, how many you've got. You can then drill down I think to see the individual posts.

Is there any way to hide the "The following user says..." boxes? They really disrupt reading threads. And probably add a noticeable amount of data to each thread page...

I mean on a per user level. Didn't see anything in my options.

Nope, and I agree I don't like the boxes. I've posted on the mod creator's thread for some info, hopefully I can change it so a simple display of how many times a post has been "thanked" is displayed, and maybe a list if you hover over it or something.

So it's not in its finished form yet.

And we need a better word than thanked. I was thinking Hugz, other ideas?

Yes reggie you've made your point lol.

I also CAN limit the amount of thanks a person can give out each day if necessary.

I'd say 5 a day is more then enough, otherwise the board will become too focused on giving out "huggies" (that being my personal favorite term. Stortini's a close second).

Just testing...

Anytime a new feature is added, the first thing to think about is how many ways it can be abused.

Glad to be of service.

You can edit comments in that newly-created Oiler Fan Group, right?

You should make them all say "Go Flames Go"

Lol, I figured you'd be happy that the Oiler fans all conveniently identified themselves for easy ridicule.

Then we'll get sued by the makers of Project Gotham Racing.
