Interesting, did not know he was from Calgary, although I read his column quite often. Must be quite rare for someone his age to have moved from Calgary to Ontario.

Twitter seems to have rapidly become a haven for really bored reporters. I get that sitting outside waiting around must suck, but what did they do before Twitter?

I can't watch tv at the moment but how is CNN doing this time?

Last Pope election all the talking heads at the news stations were having troubles telling what colour the smoke was.

Well not too badly. The smoke was quite grey at first and even I wondered, and then the bells started ringing very quickly, which is the second indicator of Habemus Papam.

Dennis Rodman, too:

After raising eyebrows by going to North Korea, former U.S. basketball star Dennis Rodman is continuing his bizarre global tour by visiting Rome — purportedly to help Ghanaian Cardinal Peter Turkson become the first black pope.

But Rodman didn’t seem too sure who he was supposed to be promoting when asked about it Wednesday. “From Africa right?” Rodman asked, wearing a hat and T-shirt promoting the Irish betting firm that organized his trip.

Man, Rodman has gotten even wierder than he was when he was playing basketball. I seriously wonder whether or not he has suffered some form of anoxia from the alternate types of activities he enjoys.

I always thought that the Pope should have to fight to the death where god throws a lighning bolt at the one that he doesn't choose, all while turning the winners water into wine.

Interesting to see which way the church goes this time. If they elect a conservative cardinel from Europe it won't bode well for the popularity of the church
