Personally, I think it was a bit of a low blow. If you really were just curious (like I was) you could have done a quick Google search to find out that he likely gets $10 per referral in Groupon bucks (or something closely equivalent like $8 per $50 Dealfind voucher).
GFG is just doing a service that has been approved by the mods, I don't think he deserves any flak. I am not sure whether the service that he is promoting is that great, and I am slowly being convinced to be cautious about these deals, but it is currently approved by the mods. If the mods feel that his thread does not detract from the CP experience, and that him profiting off it is not a conflict, then I have no problem with it.
I will also mention however, that a person such as GFG may want to be weary of businesses they promote as it does reflect upon his own reputation.

They're not. They depend on a steady stream of small business owners not realizing that this is a bad deal for them. It seems like a good idea at first, but then they realize they're losing money on every customer, and it's hurting their ability to provide good service to people paying full price.
Eventually, business owner's will all have clued in (or lost so much money/reputation on these deals that they go out of business) that the site's aren't able to continue.
Groupon turning down Google's 6 Billion dollar buyout offer will go down as the business boner of the century.

small business 101, this will happen to most people. Not the vouchers but the working way too hard for cheap while ruining your reputation.

There's a difference between doing the legal minimum and doing what is required to stay in business by providing good service. If a waiter is surly and your food is cold, the restaurant doesn't legally owe you a refund and they likely haven't broken any food safety laws. On the other hand, if it continues, they're likely to be out of business.
Dealfind might not owe Rudd a refund legally, their T&Cs probably let them weasle out of it. But going through the parties, it doesn't seem like anyone here is happy.
Rudd: got crappy service, less likely to use dealfind for purchases in the future
Koncept: Overwhelmed by low-priced clients, provided crappy service, now has to provide it again for free. Less likely to use dealfind again.
Everyone reading on CP: Realizes Rudd/Koncept have had a crappy experience, less likely to use dealfind for their own business and/or purchases.
Clearly dealfind is winning big here.

Okay, what if a coupon was used from the Students' Union Ticket Pack for the restaurant in your example above. Would there be some onus on them to compensate you? Of course not, it's the restaurant's responsibility to provide good service. What we're talking about with Dealfind is no different.

I think it is different, mainly since Dealfind actually took Rudd's money, as opposed to providing a book full of coupons. They also have a bunch of verbiage on their site about 100% guarantees and ensuring your happiness, none of which is in the Student's Union Ticket Pack.
I get that we disagree on this, but I don't think it's as black and white as you're making it out to be.

I'm not trying to spin it to make it black and white, I really do see it that way. The SUTP example (or the Entertainment Book one above) is bang on because you actually do pay for the coupons.
In fact, check out the general provisions in using an Entertainment Book coupon from the Help section of their website:
Quote:
ENTERTAINMENT PUBLICATIONS, LLC, and/or its parent or subsidiaries, will not be responsible if any establishment breaches its contract or refuses to accept the membership card/coupons; however, it will attempt to secure compliance.

If the entertainment guide guaranteed 100% customer satisfaction and full refund within 30 days then yes.

-Build a LARGE order to organize the SKU #s
-Call in and say you can't find your membership number, give info, get redirected to memberships, give info, let them give up and give you a free membership for your next purchase and get redirected to customer orders
-Give order SKUs and quantity
-Give Coupon Code
-Have entire order knocked down to membership price - 60% as well

Dealfind guarantees your experience with them; not with businesses they have no control over. I know you don't like it, but it's a fact.
If you can't understand that there's nothing more I can say.

Honestly, you're barely coherent in your posts. WTF is "ant porfession" anyway? Everything you write I have to decode before I can even reply so maybe things are getting lost in my translation of your gibberish into English.
Anyway, I think we are both going to lose any slack the mods have been cutting this conversation if we heat up the insults. I'm glad you seem to be getting some resolution to the issue you had and it's great Dealfind went to bat for you with the vendor.

After reading your posts I came to the conclusion that you weren`t very educated so I tried to keep things simple.

Yes, please knock off the insults.
As far as CP's and the mods' endorsements of this thread, it's not really so much an endorsement as a trial tolerance.
In my personal opinion, if someone benefits off the back of someone else's work then they have an obligation.. websites work to gain eyeballs, if someone tries to benefit from those eyeballs they pay the website to advertise.
So normally people have to pay to advertise.. however we established the power ring to try and let people promote their businesses while having the benefit go back to the community in the form of discounts for CP members.
This doesn't really fit that mold though, since there's no special discount for CP members. So someone benefits from the referrals while not any special benefit for CP members. However it does put all the deals into one place, so we figured to let this continue as it does give that benefit to CP members. And to the couple of mods/writers who benefited from gift coupons from GFG
Anyway, just wanted to clarify our position.. initially we saw potential issues in both fairness and also with potential abuse (in that there'd be a dozen threads each with people promoting their own referral links), but felt there could be enough benefit to the community to let it continue.

Just out of question, has any mention been made to where these tickets are? I know they are working on a Price Level 1 and Price Level 2 dealie and when you search on Ticket Master for the Price Level 1 ($15 ticket) all pairs are sold out.

There's no mention of where the seats will be. According to the TeamBuy website, it just says "Game ticket to be picked up by presenting TeamTicket at McMahon Stadium box office on game day."
It looks like they changed the deal from when I first posted about it. It was originally $15 for a Ticket and Toque. It looks like they removed toque and are only selling Tickets for $10 now.
