Calgary Deals and Discounts
I'm a bargain hunter and always looking for the best and cheapest deals. I decided to create a blog to share some of the random deals that I've come across. Check out my new blog and let me know what you think.
http://www.calgarydealsblog.com
If you know of any deals that I should add to the site, send me a PM wth the details.
Thanks

I'm glad you like the site. Everyone has been very supportive thus far and telling me about a lot of new deals.
I got the movie coupon from a co-worker who forwarded it to every at work. Someone at work tried using it and it didn't work. I have deleted the coupon from the site. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Here's one for all you thrifty shoppers.
The Calgary Sun does a promotion called "Thrifty Thursdays" as a promo for new advertisers.
It works like this: You pay $50, you get $100 in gift certificates for a given business. (Golf courses, hotels, spas, electronics, pretty much everything you could think of). Take a peek, there's tons of great deals if you look every week.
Cheers.

False. Coke sold in Canada also uses high-fructose corn syrup.
Quote:
But Coca-Cola spokesperson Dave Moran said there should be no difference in taste between the kosher for Passover Coke and regular Coke. "There's all this talk that it tastes different," he said. "I don't know. Is it a grass-is-greener thing? Really it should taste the same wherever you get it."
In a taste test conducted in downtown Toronto last week, most Coke drinkers preferred regular Coke, which is kosher year-round and made with high-fructose corn syrup. But a few, such as Mississauga's Aaron Wouters, 34, really liked the kosher for Passover version.

No worries, but I'm not sure how long this deal lasts. I picked some up yesterday.
Regular price was $9.99

LOL.
I did not know people could be snarky about pop.
Unless... you are from the Caribbean.

the easiest way to tell if a company is using an American ad to recruit Canadians is if they refer to "pop" as "soda". It's the same ad but then they direct consumers to a .ca rather than a .com
Empire Theatres has one going right now. Drives me nuts. Soda? That's for crackers.
