He was supposed to have a press conference tomorrow, but I can't imagine there will be one now.

These sorts of issues probably don't end up on the breitbart newsfeed of his supporters.

Late to the party, but jeez... I mean it's one thing to watch the US become a kleptocracy and the government line their pockets and the pockets of the rich, watch rights for people get eroded, etc.. but watching the chances for children to die go up is different.

After their meeting today, Kennedy told reporters that Trump had asked him to “chair a commission on vaccination safety and scientific integrity.”
Like appointing the fox to chair the commission on hen house security.

Or the NDP to investigate whether Oil Royalties are high enough. Hopefully it will have the same "positive" result? Nah.. not likely.

SCOTUS stops special election in North Carolina that is a result of the illegal gerrymandering there until they can consider an appeal.

Disagreement in the paperwork SoS nominee Tillerson filed with the SEC that's the deal that's supposed to separate him from ExxonMobil. One says what the media reported, that if he returns to the Oil and Gas industry within 10 years he forfeits money put into a trust. The other though says he only forfeits if he goes to an ExxonMobil competitor! So he could be SoS, get sanctions against Russia lifted so ExxonMobil gets $500B worth of new business, then return to work for ExxonMobil?
Hopefully just a wording error, I wonder if it'll be brought up during his confirmation hearing.

EDIT: EPA pick now closing down his PACs after initially intending to keep them running.
The administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency does not usually channel money to political candidates. But that’s exactly what Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt (R) was planning to do, keeping his two political action committees (PACs) operational even as he approached Senate confirmation hearings to head the federal EPA.
But amid backlash over plans to raise money through the PACs, which have historically been heavily funded by the oil and gas industry, a lawyer for the two committees announced that they will be dismantled.
“The PACs missions are no longer relevant and we don’t want them to be a distraction during the confirmation hearings,” Charles Spies, counsel for both committees, told E&E News, which first reported that the PACs would be able to continue operating.

Expect a stay of execution to come for Dylann Roof since Trump undoubtedly has plans to make him Secretary of Youth Outreach and Race Relations.

So Obama's farewell address is tonight. Imagine he just drops some bombshell on Trump/Russia as his mic drop moment.

I'm guessing it'll be a Youtube video rather than a press conference.

On a sidenote, whenever I read articles about Trump now, I get ads next to the article from Trivago advertising various tourist destinations in Russia. It's pretty funny. Probably get some Russian brides ads soon.

Holy, BuzzFeed dumped the full document that had been circulating that CNN was talking about.
A dossier making explosive — but unverified — allegations that the Russian government has been “cultivating, supporting and assisting” President-elect Donald Trump for years and gained compromising information about him has been circulating among elected officials, intelligence agents, and journalists for weeks.
The dossier, which is a collection of memos written over a period of months, includes specific, unverified and potentially unverifiable allegations of contact between Trump aides and Russian operatives, and graphic claims of sexual acts documented by the Russians. CNN reported Tuesday that a two-page synopsis of the report was given to President Barack Obama and Trump.
Now BuzzFeed News is publishing the full document so that Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government.

I wonder what Trump's response will be.

That rumour was going around for quite a bit during the campaign, I guess this document is where those things originated.

Actually, now that I've read it I'm kind of underwhelmed.
Based on the amount of gold and gold-looking materials in the Trump tower, Donald having a group of Russian prostitutes do a golden shower over him doesn't seem that surprising.

Seriously, that's what it is? That's kind of par for the course when it comes to Trump ridiculousness. It's certainly nowhere near as bad as the Access Hollywood tape anyway.
