I was listening to a Conan O'Brien podcast where he says the absolute worst thing a guest can do is tell the audience they're going to do a bad job (self-deprecation, such as " I'm terrible at talk shows" or " I don't know what I'm doing"). He says you see all of the energy gets sapped out of the audience. Even if you feel terrible inside, the golden rule is to make the audience feel like you're giving it your best to give them a great show.
I feel like this is relevant to Singh. You could feel him giving up, and nobody wants to back someone that doesn't believe in themselves.

I hate when the media complains about vote counting. It takes time to count votes. In more interesting elections there is more vote casts. Two people count a whole poll. So in high turnout elections you have delays in finishing counting. You also get delays in starting counting as voting lines cut off at poll close but counting can’t start until everyone has voted.

Sorry to single you out, Otto-matic, but I really don't want this sentiment to become a common thing from our side of the aisle.
Although there are, unfortunately, a lot of lost causes out there stomping their clown shoes, there's no better time for us to create some unity and reach out to to those that can still be reached.
Let's sip our sherry and shine our monacles tonight, but when the morning comes let's be humble winners.

I'm going to both like this sentiment overall, but enjoy PPs impending loss (hopefully), 161 moments of humility, and 1 moment of schadenfreude

I'm still annoyed with the CBC for calling the result so early for us Westerners. I was still on my first drink!
Also, if they're counting the advance polls last I would have thought there's still time for some swings.

All this says to me if the Cons would push away from the far right nutters, they could govern for a long time.

So Bloc hold all the power unless the Libs and Cons grow up and work together
That’s always a good thing for Canada ….

That turd Gunn might win a seat with under 40 percent, Libs and NDP sitting at 57% combined. Strategic voting needs to start being a thing.

Speaking personally, yeah I would for sure consider them if they stopped catering to the fringe. I bet a lot of people here would 100% agree.
Keep in mind they lose some votes if they stop that though.

PP seems to be gaining at a very slow rate, like a semi trying to pass another semi on the highway going 1kph faster.

Except they can’t because then they splinter. I think if they ran it back with O’Toole it would be a conservative government. PP was a worse version of Scheer

The only way I can see the CPC working with LPC is if Little PP Energy is ousted. They'll otherwise just grind Parliament to a halt and we'll all suffer as a result.

At this point they've had 3 increasingly strong chances in a row to do just that yet are somehow incapable.

Not attacking PP in Southern Ontario cost the Libs a majority gov't. Missed an effing layup.
