Yeah but that could go either way. I'm in Calgary Confed where the Liberal candidate has a slight edge. Without knowing what polls have been counted it's hard to say if that's safe or not. My community, Sunnyside, would skew towards Liberal. But the Triwoods would probably skew the other way. Urban vs. rural doesn't matter as much as the actual polls within ridings.

I assume the experts are taking into account what polls are reporting though.

CBC sounds very certain about their call.

Poilievre getting kicked out, and CPC offering an olive branch to the Liberals and work with Carney to push things that are best for Canada as a whole considering Carney is a fair bit more right than Trudeau, could be a thing if partisan politics wasn't a thing, but we could dream.

Yeah a Conservative Liberal coalition would be the best thing for the country but the maple maga people would never have it... if you listen to the people who watch fox news anyone who is not conservative is a communist.

Long run I was hoping the conservatives would split back into two parties and get rid of the crazies... honestly the old PC party would have steamrolled everyone in this election, look at how well they are doing provincially these days especially in Ontario

Liberal lead back to 10 seats. My blood pressure was pretty high there for a minute.

Shifting back to the Liberals now, CTV shows 158 to 148. And Pollievre falling farther behind in his riding.

It would be crazy is Pollievre and Singh lose their seats though.

Some of it might be to avoid the accusations of a rigged election if the advance polls skews one way or another.

CBC seems extremely confident it is over, they must know a few things we don't when it comes to projections and advanced voting.

It’s happened elsewhere in times of crisis. Israel had a “national unity government” years ago where the Labour Party and Likud entered into a coalition. Maybe we could have something similar?

Mathematically, I can't really see a scenario where that happens. The NDP probably need at least 8-10% of the popular vote to hold the hammer.

I know it's way too early here, but you can't tell me Pierre isn't looking at this and absolutely ####ting his flood pants.

There's a lot of vote-splitting that's killing the NDP/Libs/Greens in BC, especially on Vancouver Island.
