Oh? What did that dipsh-t say now?
Argh, Democrats are making the unemployment problem even worse!
Some dumb#### slippery-slope fallacy about how "if the PA courts can extend the deadline to the 12th, then what's to stop them from extending it into December if they want to?!" You know, the usual poorly formed logic that most Republican arguments are grounded in.
I missed the discussion from a couple pages back, but Biden wasn't handed the nomination in 2020.
He was the only centrist candidate with a shot after SC, so Pete and Klobuchar both dropped out after poor showings. He beat Bernie pretty convincingly on Super Tuesday and the rest is history.
His entire run for Presidency has been kind of amazing. He basically did nothing in the primary except put his name on the ballot. Won the nomination after losing Iowa and looking mediocre going into South Carolina before hitting a homer on Super Tuesday.
Essentially did the same thing in the general election. Stayed close to home due to covid and never barn stormed the country like Trump.
He put in the minimal effort of probably any Presidential campaign in modern history and is looking to win convincingly.
Well, kind of. Except for his opponent. Who did have some rallies, offset by the time that he didn’t bother to have, what do you call it? ... a platform
0%. The cult won't back him in a general if he's the nominee, and I doubt he wants to lose again.
I hate to say it, but I have a feeling Sarah Palin will be going for it in 2024.
She has been hinting at running for a senate seat in 2022 and the MAGA cultists love her. I would not be surprised to see her put her hat into the ring for the nomination.

Democrats think it's a big deal, so they drastically reduced their in person electioneering like doorknocking, new voter registrations and rallies.
Republicans think it's a hoax, so they did their regular amount of doorknocking and voter registrations and some, even if reduced amount of rallies.
In 2018, Democrats got out the vote in person and there was a blue wave.
In 2020, Democrats went almost exclusively virtual and the blue wave didn't happen.
Let's see what happens in 2022. I think we'll see Beto and AOC and Obama and Abrams holding high energy rallies and energizing an old fashioned ground game. I think the Democrats retake the Senate in 2022.
Even during non-covid times, Democrats just don't campaign that much between elections and don't take elections seriously. They think votes are owed to them every two or four years and that strategy will fail.
Republicans voters care about their issues (the five pillars) and media, radio are always talking about it. Democrats need to get their first. For example, they need to be on Latino radio, Latino advertising every day, not just during election time, get there first. Don't take the vote for granted and then when they vote Republican, call them white.

This election was never about policy. I doubt many people voted for Biden strictly on policy, this was a referendum on Trump and mostly on his handling of Covid.

Well that is just flat out wrong. If you think 70 million people voted for Trump and not because he was running as the Republican candidate...

Exactly.
One group took pandemic precautions, didn't hold big rallies, didn't knock on doors and voted by mail.
The other treated it like normal.
That's what you saw. Its not that the Republicans are better at it, its that one side didn't participate, and for good reason. Not hard to figure out.
