I'll check the score and if FLA is winning I'll tune in and laugh the grease bags and their trashbag fans. That's been my SCF strategy.

I haven't been watching on TV, just go on NHL.com to check scores.

The Panthers win the next game in Coilers territory and win the Cup back home.

sure there is. before the series began, nobody would ever say it can't be 2-2 or it's over. that can only be an emotional take directly after a loss. it's not an opinion based in logic or reason, it's just a coping mechanism from people who can't handle the ups and downs of a 7 game series. it's like hedging your bets. you get to mentally brace yourself for the outcome that you fear, while still being happy if you end up wrong. but it's super disrespectful to the cup champs who have done nothing but prove themselves as an elite team that can handle adversity and who will leave everything on the ice. if the panthers lift the cup then it wasn't just wrong to write them off so soon, it was embarrassing.
in reality, this series is probably going down to the wire. respect to those who stay strapped in without crying take me off the ride

Yeah its not like anyone is saying its over in the Panthers favor...honestly even if they won tonight I wouldn't say that
Takes 4 wins to win the cup and #4 is always the hardest

It's not that I think the Panthers will fall apart. I just don't trust the refs, and it feels like the Oilers get every freaking bounce this year.
Like how many fluke goals is this? It's just absurd. Team fluke.

It's insane that this even is in question.
But goalie changes have a long and storied history of paying off.
When its Pickards net from the start and the Panthers can do their homework on him, does he continue looking more vezina-like than actual vezina winner Bob? The lipstick probably comes off for him next game.
But who knows, the Oilers seem to get divine intervention in the most strangest of ways the last couple of years, such as PTO/waiver wire caliber depth and backups looking all worldly and the unbeatable PK last year.

Yup it was very close. Game 7 was a tossup and there wasn't much separating the teams. Good thing the Panthers had home ice or who knows what happens.
Squandering a 3-0 lead in such an important game is a worrying sign. I still believe this Panthers team can get the job done, but what I saw today has shaken my confidence in them to some extent.

IDK they were basically handed a 3-0 lead by the refs and then the refs handed it right back
I would give the Panthers the edge in the 3rd and OT but Oilers got the bounce. Its a bad loss but I think Panthers fans and Oiler haters will take it worse than the Panthers players even. They are gonna spin it like win one road game and have a shot at the cup at home.
Glad there is no 2 day break after the Oilers ran 5 D

The 3-2 goal and the 3-3 goal were both 5 on 5.
I thought the Panthers got a bounce when the puck hit the post after hitting the skate of Frederic. Sam's chance was after that.

There were missed calls against the Oilers that led directly to goals...especially the stick hold on the Nurse goal.
Same with the Panthers in the first, high stick leading to a goal for example
Trip by Nuge on Marchand
Not calling a obvious penalty is just as bad as calling an iffy one...they were obviously evening things up

Crash and Bang Winger

And even if a powerplay doesn’t directly lead to a goal, if they get a bunch of chances it results in sustained pressure and momentum that often results in goals down the line.
It’s why I’m sure many of us got a bit worried once the even-up calls started. It’s basically the refs trying to give the Oilers a push to get them going.

I mean they scored their first goal on an iffy penalty and then their 2nd goal on an obvious stick hold that was just called the other way
At that point its 3-2 with half a game left

very true...and they did blow a lead. Just a lead with 2 periods left and the refs looking to even things up is not usually all that safe.
Standards changed big time in the 3rd and OT lol

If they pocket the whistles and leave out "even up" agendas through the remainder of the series, that would be advantage cats.
Seriously though, the default in games 5-7 has to be reluctance to call anything. Its been reminiscent of first round reffing to this point. I'm used to the finals being one must commit murder to result in a penalty.
Officials need to provide as little influence as possible.

If Pickard does what Skinner, Andersen, Stolarz, Woll and Vasilevskiy couldn't, then probably nothing could've stopped the deplorables from winning.
Because he's probably at the bottom of that list on a normal day.
